Surely option 5 kind of makes option 3 a bit pointless, it's kind of inferred - if it comes 2nd in this generation, its never gonna be a failure. Didn't know which option to pick then realised option 5 implies option 3 anyway.

Any place Half-Life 2 didn't win GOTY is epic fail beyond any measure, WOW or no WOW.
I also think Gamespot were ridiculous picking God of War over Resi 4 for GOTY, how ridiculous.
I'm not familiar with all of the GOTY's but it seems the more I find out the more I disagree with them!
I have nothing but praise for the fact that Sony seem to be focusing on their service and new IP's, free online and lots of new, quirky and unique titles on PSN, I think it's a great variety of services and interesting titles that otherwise wouldn't have seen the light of day...
BUT....
They need to get a handle on their exclusives! Let's take a look:
Grand Theft Auto 4, Devil May Cry 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6, Resident Evil 5,
^^ Look at those games, and try telling me if Sony still had them as exclusives like they once were that the PS3 would be obliterating ye olde xbox 360!
I have to say.. mine has to be Okami on the Wii. The beginning got me really hyped for the game, but nearlly three hours in and it is a bore-fest. I was hoping for a Zelda-esque experience, but haven't seen it at all so far. And on a tangent, the IGN on the boxart is extremely obvious. I could barely see it in pictures, but wow is it obvious on the box!
What about you people?

You have to give Okami longer than three hours, trust me. Back when I started playing it I really didn't like it for like the first 6 or 8 hours, but once you really get into it it'll have you hooked. It's an amazing game, easily comparable to the Zelda titles IMO.
Anyway, back on topic, I'd have to say my most disappointing purchase of this generation would be... I don't know actually it's tough because I'vebeen more careful with my purchases this gen. My friend, on the other hand, made the grave mistake of buying My Sims on Wii.... silly fool! I sat there for all of 20 minutes watching it and I'd had enough.
Video game music is some of the finest you've ever heard?
Out of context most video game music sucks big time.
FrozenLiquid
I said some of it is, and I specifically referred to the likes of Uematsu and what not. Listening to some of his stunning pieces of music fully orchestrated is, yes, absolutely on par with a lot of music I've ever listened to.
You're argueing like someone actually thinks this will be a good game. Some might find it fun, but I doubt anyone thinks this is going to push any sort of limits or anything like that. Its not being hyped, its not even getting anything other than negative talk, so why tell everybody something they already know and have heard?beast667
Ermm correct me if I'm wrong but having it as the big final announcement at their E3 conference and spending 20 minutes on it kind of makes me think Nintendo have every intention of using the hype machine as much as they possibly can.
And not getting any other negative talk? Hmmm I think that's a definite case of selective memory.
If anyone is anticipating Wii Music, please doing the following:
1. Using your computer, radio, iHome, etc. choose a song you want to play to.
2. Grab your Wiimote and wave your hands around wildly while holding down the "A" Button.
3. Congratulations! You are playing Wii Music! Yay!
ZeldaMaster32
haha! Too true!
Though let us not forget that the vast majority of music you'll probably hear on your computer/radio/whatever will be far superior to the noisy, slow drivel we endured at E3. So you actually get Wii Music 2: Sonic and Mario do Glanstonbury!

Right, I'm gonna throw a novel at you myself:
Firstly - I hate people who attack longer, considered posts, especially here in system wars where it's perhaps the most appropriate to back your points up. It's ridiculous, it's as if people want spammy, two sentence rants that don't elaborate or back themselves up at all.
Secondly - If the whole 'you don't like something or don't have something to support don't write about it' attitude was one to abide by, system wars wouldn't exist at all. It's a place to express our opinions on the current strategies and moves the three consoles are making in this generation of system wars. I OWN a wii and this post is as much about nintendo as the game itself. Also, there's a lot of educated reading out there which is all about looking at stuff people don't like or understand... serial killers for example!
Thirdly - If that's the attitude you follow, why bother replying in this thread?
That means you care about me? :)Nope, just care about using your attitude and ignorance to help illustrate a few points that have been annoying me about a lot of people on here for quite some time now.
But otherwise yeah, course I care about you! :P
