@PacoTaco @viciouskiller Unlikely, I haven't used the word "retarted" yet, but I do swear a lot even on map chat. Yet I don't direct it to people, another thing, there is the Filter Option. So, again as I said on my reply to PacoTaco, people who get suspended for abusive language in chat are usually reported by another player.
@PacoTaco There is the Filter Option, but I believe they were already at the point of harassing that player. On another note, these account suspensions happen due to Players Reporting them and Anet's investigation. So peeps going after Anet also gotta think that, at least for harassment, they were reported by someone.
@Caldrin I miss the days "Ex Packs" just cost us 20$ or less and PC games were 50$ or less.. Premium seems like a good deal, but after thinking about how overpriced "Ex-Packs" are now (50$ for BF3's Ex-Packs each) it just makes it.. Not even worthwhile..
@Gelugon_baat First off, what is the subject matter then? That he used CoD as an "End All" Argument? Is that the only reason?
Yes CoD is popular and people will hate it, I however don't hate it for being popular. I've played it and find it rather boring way to repetitive and very boring. It is, at its current state, a cookie cutter game.
Do away with the scores? Could work, but people view reviews to get an idea of a game, look at the scores as a quick way to weigh whether the game is worth it or not. Then, how can it be a diversion tactic? If CoD makes so much sales and is popular and such a hit due to those sales, then the same can be made for review scores.
Simply put, if CoD can be judged to be popular due to sales, a game's worth can be judged by a review score.
Thus the again, how can GRFS get a 7.5 and CoD get a 9.0? 1 Game having more effort put into it and the other being a simple rehash with slightly improved graphics. You clearly stated you haven't bought the game, thus how can you argue the differences?
@Ar13ls You have some points. Except, I've played CoD and I don't find it cool.
Now away from CoD. The only thing I have to comment on is in regards to the servers. Its expected that there will be issues on Day 1, anyone who thinks otherwise is likely an idiot. Simply put, its common knowledge to expect it. However, it should be expected by Blizzard, to at least come prepared and have been able to create a system that can handle the stress better.
Though I have no doubt that they did expect it and are doing their best to resolve the issue. Also, I am unaware on the current state of the servers/playerbase. I haven't bought myself a copy yet. If the server problems were resolved quickly (within the first week) then I'd say Blizzard did an excellent job.
@Gelugon_baat The thing is, for all this faults and glories, CoD still gets a 9.0 yet this game gets a 7.5, which is rather odd. They both have AI problems and not to mention CoD is getting rather repetitive. Thus why people wonder why CoD get 9.0 and anything different gets less.
