Unfortunately, its really not that much better anymore.
I will agree the XBOX360 interface is more accessible and loads faster, but thats a question of hardware/software and not online service.
I have both systems (and pay for Gold) because my friends have it too. However, the PS3 network is solid and free. Their online store has more content for better prices and their paid online service gives you free games every month.
The games run smooth on both consoles; however, I admit I have never used the PS3 party chat. I just don't have any friends who use PS3 for anything other than Netflix.
60 bucks/year is small pennies, but its still notable that they charge for the exact same service Sony gives away for free.
I bought it, and played a little of the MP. For the most part, I beat the campaign and then put it away. It's not that I don't want to play it; it's just that its not nearly as good as its competing titles like Halo, Bf3, and Call of Duty.
Sorry Danger Close, your game kind of sucks. The good news is I still bought a copy. Best of luck: May your company not see major layoffs next year...
I would never buy a VIta. Not even if it was $100.00. It would be $100.00 wasted.
Crappy software. Crappy hardware. Yeah, its the best looking portable. But it's still a portable; and it doesn't play like a PS3.
It costs more and does less than any current-gen console. 3DS has the same issue, except Nintendo makes Pokemon; a game that can't be played on console.
Nintendo claims they are a revolution but they make hardware specs worse than my 7 year old XBOX360. This console isn't powerful enough to run Battlefield 3, which is a year old now. And they plan to support this into the future???
Rumor has it the new XBOX will have 6-12 GB of Ram with integrated Kinect. Rumor has it the new PS will output in 4K. What did Nintendo give us? Old, re-hashed games and overpriced hardware with no 3rd party support. They better not charge $75.00 for Arkhham City, ME3, and Darksiders 2.
They are charging 75 bucks for a game that is a re-hash.
Their touch-screen controller is almost 200 bucks.
I loved reckoning ( I bought it new), but after reading this... I just don't think these people really understood pilot games don't sell 2-3 million copies. In fact, I am surprised they sold over a million... that's really a pretty good title seeing AAA games like "Prototype 2" selling only 400,000 copies (didn't buy this one).
