If they wanted to respect soldiers, they wouldn't make a game out of war at all.
War is a real life hell on earth. No game can, or ever should, try to portray this accurately. However, there is a lot of fun in playing target practice, and its even better when the target reacts to your shots. That's why people like to shoot bowling pins instead of paper targets and the range. And, that's why people enjoy the military shooter genre.
If they WERE to do it effectively, they should have a real life person punch you in the face every time you take a round in the game. Then you can get true association of pain.
Nintendo makes great exclusives but lately I am just seeing re-hashed old school games with slightly updated content and better graphics. I have beaten Ocarina of Time literally 35 times as I have owned it since 1998. I don't need a Wii-U Ocarina. Regardless of exclusives, Nintendo needs to recognize core gamers tend to spend the most money on software, and I am not interested in a Mario Part 15 or Wii Jepardy. I want to see GTA5, Call of Duty BLOPs2, NHL 12, Red Dead Redemption, BioShock, Fallout 4, DOOM!!!!!
I WANT TO SEE NINTENDO 1-UP THE COMPETITION, NOT MATCH IT WITH A SILLY TOUCH SCREEN GIMMICk!!!
I literally have no beef with spending $600 dollars on a new console. But I am not wasting a dollar on junk that can only match my current PS3 or XBOX minus a blu-ray player and Gears/God of War 3
To talk about now... the 3DS is an excellent piece of hardware but has only a handful of NEW exclusives. Nintendo may have brand recognition, but in my eyes, they are lazy and stubborn compared to SONY and Microsoft. Where is a NEW Zelda? Where is a NEW Starfox? Where is Metroid? Can I have a COD on 3DS that isn't garbage? VITA has a COD in the works.... and we all KNOW duty makes millions. Don't they want to jump into the pit of cash?
