[QUOTE="killerband55"]so Impact is going back to thursday again?Crusader628
Good. no point in keeping it on Monday nights.

There is a point, choice. I'll be glad when TNA permanently moves to Mondays so I can have the choice to watch them instead of that bland Raw that does the same thing every week.

WWE Monday night RAW scored a 3.6 rating Monday night, the same rating as last week. The show did hours of 3.51 and 3.73, with hour one doing 5,441,000 viewers and hour two ding 5,773,000.

- TNA IMPACT! scored a 1.5 rating, the first hour did a 1.69 and 2,536,000 million viewers. The second and third hour did a 1.33 average and 2,034,00 viewers. The five-minute overrun scored a 1.26 rating, with 2.2 million viewers.

- The January 2nd edition of WWE AM Raw scored a 1.4 rating, which is one of the show's best ratings ever.

UPDATE: TNA iMPACT! did a 1.5 rating as previously reported. The show did hours of 1.7, 1.4 and 1.2. TNA was very happy with the numbers, even though it isn't good that they dropped from hour to hour. But that was expected.

There is no number for RAW yet, but with the 5.6 million viewers the show did, the rating should be a 3.7 or 3.8. The feeling is that TNA cost WWE a half-point in the ratings, maybe more. The strong first hour for TNA carried over to the second.

After the segment with Hogan, Hall, Waltman, Nash and Bischoff there was a significant drop in the numbers, as many people turned into RAW.

At this point it seems like a lock that TNA will run Monday nights again due to the strong rating they drew last night and the buzz that TNA now has. It could be very good for the business to have TNA air Monday nights and TNA on Mondays may become permanent.

ORIGINAL: - TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.5 rating with 2.2 million viewers, easily a new ratings record for TNA. iMPACT! peaked with 2.9 million viewers for the 9PM to 9:15PM ET segment which featured Hulk Hogan. That segment went head to head with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels on RAW. TNA's previous record high rating was a 1.33 with 1.97 million viewers, so Monday night's rating beat their record by over 200,000 viewers.

RAW drew 5.6 million viewers, its highest viewership since August 24th (the night after Summerslam).

The combined Monday night wrestling audience of 7.8 million viewers is obviously the highest it has been in a very long time.

SPIKE TV'S "TNA iMPACT" DELIVERS ITS HIGHEST RATINGS EVER FOR HULK HOGAN'S DEBUT IN SPECIAL LIVE EPISODE

2.2 Million Tune-In For Live Three-Hour Telecast

New York, NY, January 5, 2010 - Hulk Hogan's first appearance on Spike TV's special three-hour live "TNA iMPACT" on Monday, January 4 (8:00-11:05pm) drew 2.2 million viewers. This marks the most-watched "TNA iMPACT" in the history of the franchise, totaling 222 episodes dating back to October, 2005. The previous high was 1.97 million viewers reached last April

The event was broadcast from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl. Airing head-to-head with WWE on USA Network, "TNA iMPACT" peaked at 2.9 million viewers from 9:00-9:15pm ET/PT.

Overall, the telecast drew a 1.5 household rating, a 1.8 in Men 18-34, and a 1.6 in Men 18-49. For the time period, "TNA iMPACT" was up a whopping +338% in M18-34, +241% in M18-49, and +84% in average audience versus a year ago.

Actually that is good. I don't know why you guys are acting like it's a fail. Spike was just hoping to maintain their Thursday night audience, but they did much better than that. Over 2 million people tuned in. The usual has been 1.5 million. Almost 3 million tuned in to see Hogan. Spike TV is ecstatic about this rating so you guys need to get real. Give TNA some credit, this is the first Monday night head to head with WWE and they did well. A 1.5 does not mean 1.5 million people, the rating system is weird. You guys are acting like TNA has failed and it's over for them. This is the beginning.

TNA also shows 1 thing wrong with the industry. They sign whomever they can from the WWE, no matter what they've done. I am a fan of Jeff Hardy, but seriously putting him on the national spotlight when he has a pendind drug trafficing charge is wrong no matter how TNA fans try to spin it...MizFitAwesome
I don't care for Jeff Hardy so I don't think TNA should've signed him either way. They probably did it for shock value.

[QUOTE="MizFitAwesome"] The Nasty Boyz, are you serious?killerband55

i have no idea who they are

but just finished watching Impact and AJ vs Angle (one of the best matches ever), very awesome, very back and forth and is Hogan behind the NWO destroying the talent earlier or is he in shock like everyone else?

Bad start to Impact, that Steel asylum was a botch. Homicide made himself look bad because he couldn't get out the top. Not a Jeff Hardy fan, I think TNA did that for shock value and to make WWE mad. Luckily it ended great with an excellent match as always between AJ and Angle. Notice the fans cheered Hogan at first, but when he criticized Jarrett they turned on him. I liked Hogan coming out with the Hollywood look, Bischoff was funny. I thought that Lashley segment was a terrible waste of time. Didn't see the point of having that on a Monday night. Hated that ODB won back the women's title, loved that Hamada and Kong won the Women's tag titles because I like Hamada. Joe vs Abyss was good, other 2 matches were too short.

If you guys really want to read something funny take a look at Eric Rippoffs latest nugget:

http://rajah.com/base/node/18037
"Based on the mind-numbingly stupid Raw I had the misfortune of dropping in on last week, perhaps the fact that TNA stepped up and is at least taking a swing at the bully was enough to make McMahon realize that he could not afford to take his audience for granted and continue to shove tripe down the throats of his Goliath "universe" while David was reaching for a stone.

Define irony. a man who's brilliant career spans such great ideas like letting Jay Leno wrestle and giving David Arequette the WCW Championship belt, slamming somebody elses product. If TNA is Davis (Arquette? I think he's not really doing anything now) keep in mind Goliath has full body armor and a tactical nuke. Maybe you should be speed dialing Shane MacMahon. He's the only savior you have right now.

BTW, both Bischoff and Spike executives know they don't have a chance, maybe Bulk Blowgan should get a clue...

MizFitAwesome

Hogan has a clue...............a really terrible one that will cause the demise of TNA.

I agree can we say TNA WWE Invasion angle in 2011....

No we can't. TNA will not be getting sold to Vince. If Panda Energy isn't selling, WWE can't have them. If TNA went out of business I'll never watch wrestling again. I mean, what's wrong with competition? WWE fanboys would just love for WWE to be the only wrestling in the whole world no matter how sorry it is. As much as I hate WWE, I wouldn't want them to dissapear because I like choice. Wrestlers like to have choices too. If there was no TNA right now, everybody who could make it in WWE would have to endure the politics of WWE. The current WWE champion is HHH's workout partner, that's why he's champ. Vince probably kisses HHH's @#$ too. And by the way, David Arquette winning the title was Russo's idea, not Bischoff. Vince ripped off Bischoff's a-hole boss character by the way, just thought I'd throw that in there.

I agree with Batista's view. WWE doesn't have much in the way of new talent. I hate Sheamus and Jack Swagger and many others.

i watched Impact last night and seeing Daniels vs Joe vs AJ was amazing, awesome matchkillerband55
I agree. I always like when the fans chant "This is wrestling!" and "This is awesome!" I couldn't believe they chanted "Screw Hulk Hogan!" during the match though. Obviously they feel Hogan is going to take away from their fav wrestlers. But because of Hogan, they'll get the attention they deserve I think when the Hulkamaniacs jump on board.
