[QUOTE="TheCrazed420"]It's too early to say what MS is planning. For all you know, they might offer the early adopters some type of tradein deal, though that would be unlikely. I could care less about the HDMI output, or the 120 GB hard drive, since I have my 360 hooked up to my PC and its 640 GB's of space.TheCrazed420

What?  You can save your games to your PC?  I can stream music, video, and pictures from my PC, but what I really need is storage space for demos, game saves, and Live marketplace downloaded HD content.  If you have found a way to do that, please tell me how, or point me to a site with instructions.

Well, save games are pretty small, game demos are demos so I try them and delete them. I basically just use my PC to store all my music and movies that I stream through my 360. There are products out there that allow you to transfer files from your 360 to your PC

I understand the frustration  your experiencing though.  I won't deny that I would pick up the Zephyr model over the Xenon model, but when it comes to games and purely games, the system hasnt changed.

Thanks, those are cool, and I will probably need that if I ever upgrade my hard-drive.  I was hoping for something more connected though, so I could do the transfers without disconnecting the drive and then connecting it to my PC.  I guess I was hoping for too much.  I wonder why they don't update Windows Media Connect to do this?  A software solution is far preferable to a hardware one in this instance.

if this is true. i hope it cost more then 399.00, because if not. then i guess that is what i get for getting a launch version 360.  Hopefully they will alllow us to upgrade our hard drives at least. http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/05/the-second-xbox-360-revealed-codename-zephyr/

Unless this one also comes with a built in HD-DVD drive, I'll pass.  That's the only real reason I'd need HDMI.  The hard drive is nice, but hopefully they will sell that separately as well.  THAT I could use.

1. Blu-ray support

2. RSX processor

3. Cell chip

4. Superior graphics to both XBox 360 and Wii

5. Superior 3rd party support

6. More games in development than both next generation systems combined.

7. The major games--the biggest system sellers--will only be coming to this system, such as: Metal Gear Solid 4, GTA, Resident Evil, & Final Fantasy XIII.

8. A controller that has motion sensitivity.  Why buy a Wii, when your PS3 controller already has motion sensitivity?  Why settle for something with inferior graphics?

9. There is more hype and consumer interest in this system worldwide that the other two next generation systems combined.

10. There will be more adult games and more games that cater to the mature crowd.

11. No gimmick games like WarioWare.

12. An online play superior to both X Box Live and WiiConnect24.

13. More advertising power than both Nintendo and Microsoft.

14. More RPGs than the other two systems.

15. More sports games that the other two systems.

When you have 15 points, not all of them can be strong ones.  It weakens your argument to list so many.  You should focus on 2 or 3 points to really make a convincing argument.

I'm not sure why, but my download speed for downloading demos is extremly slow compared to my friends. I don't think it's my internet, it's usually always fine and fast as theirs. Is there some kind of fix for this? I don't like having to wait 2 hours for my demo to download. Thx for the help : )Wolf7040

It could have something to do with the time of day you download.  The download servers can only handle so much traffic at once.  I noticed the week of E3, hardly anything would download after 5pm EST.  If I downloaded at lunch, it was lightning fast.

[QUOTE="EricForeman"]

[QUOTE="mave198"]360 has to outsell the PS2 first, never mind the PS3.mikasa

Haven't you seen the April sales numbers?  It now is outselling the PS2.   As 360 supplies increase, expect the gap to widen even more.  The first month or so the PS3 releases it will certainly sell more units than the 360.  As the PS3 supplies dwindle though (they will only have released 6 million by March) expect the 360 to sell more.  It will be a tight race for a while and may take a couple of years for PS3 units sold to significantly over take 360 units sold.

BUT (and it's a big one)...if BluRay doesn't catch on...PS3 will fall hard especially at the extremely high price it has.  No one buying PS3 means no devs are going to invest in making BluRay discs/games.  Which means less sales of PS3...it's a death spiral that Sony can't stop....If BluRay doesn't catch on.

Initial sales of the PS3 will not negatively impact 3rd party developer's decsisions to make games for the PS3.  You can bet solid money that there are enough PS3 ethusiasts out there to buy up every available PS3 for at least the first year, if not the first 2 years of the PS3 life cycle.  Even without Blu-ray accepance, the PS3 would sell just fine.

What you can expect to see is 3rd party developers shying away from PS3 development (at least for a while) due to the increase in complexity and cost for PS3 games creation.  This is actually already happening as reported here:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000101&sid=a6GO5hFhD.M0&refer=japan

This means the for the first year or two of the PS3's existance you can expect fewer games overall and fewer 3rd party games that really take advantage of the PS3's power.  Not good.  This is why I don't mind waiting for a PS3 price drop, and I don't mind waiting a couple years after its release to buy one.  I'll have a 360 and a Wii to keep me plenty busy until the PS3 library expands enough to be tempting, and at a lower price (for the console and the 1-2 year old games).
