I'm rather partial to Taft. What a man. Yup. What a big man.

So what I gather is from this is: if it's justified, the retaliation is therefor not violent?

Of course it's still violent. Just because someone has killed someone and is to be executed does not mean that his execution is not violent. Now I'm admittedly ignorant of Islam, but for some reason"Strike off their heads" sounds fairly vicious to me, irregardless of the circumstances leading up to it.

No, it refers to Arab's who were trying to wipe out the Muslim community. If someone attacks me do I not have the right to defend my self? Again I would encourage you and the other guy to read one particualr verse that is before and or after the verses posted above.

What about this:

"Whoever changed his (Islamic) religion, then kill him" Sahih al-Bukhari, 9:84:57

Is this self defense as well?

So the discussion about Norway's sorrow has diminished into the tired subject of attacking and defending Islam. Why don't you guys start yet another thread about this and leave this thread to the actual discussion of what happened in Oslo.

College is not for everyone, but you still need to learn a trade (or two) after high school. Not going to college doesn't mean your education ends at high school.

If Abrams directed a Kotor movie:o

I'd love to see Peter Jackson produce it, perhaps write it.

Or, maybe, have Abrams write it and Jackson direct it?

Either way, that would be one hell of a movie...

Christopher Nolan. Not Abrams. Could you imagine if he moved on to Star Wars after the Batman Trilogy? He would put Episodes 1, 2, and 3 to shame. Maybe he can show where they take Jar Jar Binks out behind the shed with a laser pistol.

What is Norway's politics like? If he's a right-winger, whymight he hate the left so much? What sort of issues separate them?

I don't know very much about Animation etc, but isn't Apple considered the best for that field. How come you didn't choose a Mac?

Headline: Norway Bomber NOT Muslim!

page 2: Several Americans' heads explode due to shock. Causeof shock stilluncertain, but it was probably the Muslims' fault.

now this news will slowly start to disappear :P

If he was Muslim I assume you'd be praising him for his bravery?

Huh? Why?

[QUOTE="EsYuGee"] You're right. They are making some models that are selling relatively well. I didn't say they weren't. They're also making vehicles that have some of the lowest reliability ratings in the industry. Passing the buck the Daimler-Benz doesn't mean much. Still, while most companies in the industry are moving toward smaller, more efficent vehicles, Chrysler is pushing gas guzzlers again. What do their commercials have? The Durango, Charger, Challenger, 300? topsemag55
In answer, the 300 doesn't have a gas-guzzler tax, because it's Hemi V-8 engine has a computerized fuel economy mode (switches to 4-cylinders at cruise). How do I know this - I own one.:P Got 29,000 miles on it, and all I've had to have done is the standard maintenance (lube, oil, filter change).

I own an old Dodge Ram 3500. One of the best vehicles ever made by Chrysler. Got almost 200, 000 miles on it. But all that good is washed away when you compare it to say a Jeep Wrangler or a Chrysler Sebring. Good luck with that 300. I hope the powertrain is better. I know someone who bought a new one a few years back and had a lot of problems with the powertrain. Nice ride though.

Bottom line is: Improve your quality or perception of quality, while paying attention to the market trends, or go home.
