This is mine. It's a poodle getting its nails done. Besides the fact that poodlesneither need nor care to get their nails done, it just doesn't seem right. There's something about it that just creeps me out.

That brown curly fur, those red nails. It's not normal I tell ya.

do you know anyone named Renee? Might it be a misspelling of someone else's name? If not, call your internet provider and get it sorted out.

[QUOTE="EsYuGee"][QUOTE="BMD004"]Then why does that $300 have to go through government? Why not cut out the middle man and let you spend your own $300?BMD004
When no one else is spending the government is the only entity willing and capable of affecting the economy on a grand scale. That's why they call it "priming the pump" "a jumpstart" "a shot in the arm" if you will. It's not that government will or should continue spending at that level. For example, presently there are millions of people on unemployment now. If they did not get that $1600 a month, that would be alot less money moving through the economy. A lot less electricity, food, gas, medicine, etc being bought. That's a large chunk of commerce being taken out of the economy.

But there isn't a creation of spending power. Anything that the government spends must first be either borrowed or taxed out of the economy. It simply redistributes purchasing power that already exists. For example... if Obama gave a 5 billion dollar stimulus to build roads to put 100,000 construction workers to work, then that is just 5 billion not being used somewhere else. The only way there was a real creation of those jobs was if that 5 billion just appeared out of thin air.

What do the construction workers spend that money on?

Like I said before, the point of a gov't stimulus is not to create all the jobs necessary to carry the economy forth. It's to raise business and consumer confidence. If you don't raise that confidence then you have what we have today. Companies sitting on Trillions (yes trillions) of dollars and don't want to spend it.

Companies don't spend money because no one is buying. No one is buying because they don't have a job. They don't have a job because companies aren't hiring just laying off. Companiese aren't hiring because no one is buying. And the cycle continues.

Breaking the cycle is what gov't stimulus is for.

Why do you think everyone was making a big hubbub about "too big to fail" banks not lending. That's how businesses, especially small businesses, expand. You borrow money (go into debt:o ) in order to expand. Or borrow to buy a house or car or go to college/ trade school. Eventually that debt will increase your value. That's what the gov't is doing.

Kinda late to the conversation, but here is how I remember it being.

Lets say gov't give you $300. You spend that $300 to hire a plumber. He spends some of that on groceries. The store buys more produce from the farmer. The farmer buys a tractor.. and on it goes. Basically, more gov't spending causes people to spend more an build the economy. That original $300 ripples through the economy and creates spending that wouldn't have been there before. Make sense?

Then why does that $300 have to go through government? Why not cut out the middle man and let you spend your own $300?

Thanks for the reminder. Watching Doug now. Man I never realized how much Patty reminds me of Olive Oyl from Popeye.

Thanks for proving my point. I asked you find verse that states apostacy is a crime. You came up with NOTHING stating in the Quran, that it says so, which is quite telling. I clearly asked you to reference something from the Quran which you epically failed at. With all do respect, the apostacy claiim is something you pulled out of your behind. And I am still waiting for you to find the verse that clearly references Arab pagans with verses you refrenced or are you going to "ignore" that too because "you don't want to".

Xtasy26

You asked me to find violent verses from the Quran and I did. Now you're asking me to study the Quran so I can understand the "context". I'm not going to do that. Your book has nothing to offer except superstition and ignorance.

No, I didn't ask you to do that. I asked you to find the verse that clearly explains that those verse you refrenced clearly refers to the Arab pagans. Since, you had no problems finding your so-called violent verses, then you should have no problem find the the verse that refrences what those verses mean.

And I am still waiting for answers for the other questions I asked, since you are such an "expert" in Islam.

Xtasy, Rekunta and Spacesheikh you guys are all wrong. You just don't realize it:lol:.
