I have my ps3 connected to my receiver with an optical cable. MGS4 works perfectly with my receiver but when i play battlefield bad company i get a message on my receiver that says error and i have tried changing the sound options in the game from hi-def to TV and the other option as well and i get the same error message on my receiver. I've also closed out of the game and restarted it when i changed the sound options and i still have the same problem. Does any one else have the same or simular problem and knows a fix for this issue?

It depends the brand and the manufacturer (Where are you buying it from?) In theory... All external hardrives can have the internal hard drive removed (however, on prefab external's you could have to break the external enclosure). Also, it has been known that manufacturers (Especially if your buying it at Best Buy/Futureshop) will lock your hard drive from being used internally.
