i want to get this 2.5" 250GB western digital hard drive since it is $99 and take the drive out of the external case and put it in the ps3.

i think the reason it takes some space off the hard drive is for sonys OS(xmb)

so even if it shows the wrong amount of gigs do you still ge the correct ammount of space?
