The 3DS is a next-gen reiteration of all of the DS's revisions. They think they got the hardware right, and 3rd parties are dishing out very cheap add-ons that fix most of the systems flaws. Why would they need to revise it further?
Nintendo often is criticized for relying on gimmicky additions to their consoles... but I must say they at least handle it very well. The Wii started the motion control fad, but tell me, which gets more play time, your wii or kinect? While my Kinect gathers dust for unresponsive games and useless features, the Wii was utilized in its way to work.
@Benny_a Labeling all that as "kiddy crap" undermines your own maturity as a 32 year old. It's like saying Disney is childish. No, it's an empire that appeals to a vast number of people, you needn't like it, but it isn't childish. That insinuates a superiority complex.
I am extremely stoked for this game. The trailers for Splinter Cell conviction seemed "too" cinematic and even if that game didn't fit the Splinter Cell mold, it was kick a$$ anyway. I'm hoping for the same kind of story telling.
I'd personally like to see A) more cloud integration and B) less reliance on gimmicky additions (i.e. motion controls, touch controls, 3D, voice control.) Those are all great in a package, but they're becoming too heavily focused on. I like that my Xbox and Wii CAN utilize motion controls, sure enough, I do not however play them BECAUSE they have motion controls. Make sense?
@Valdarez The other Bioshocks featured leaders who politically shut out religion from their city, that might have something to do with it here. If they shut off religion and censored it, why and how would Elizabeth even know the religious lyrics? Things like this are probably what the devs would like people to find. I would say good find if you weren't too pious to notice what you may have stumbled on.
@Ryhmesmatter If you're familiar with the storytelling of the Bioshock franchise, they typically handle it in real time. There were very very few cut-scenes in the first Bioshock, a bit more in the second but still hardly anything at all. I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about there.
