@Jinzo_111887: That would be fantastic, but I don't see it happening. Sega finally got their head out of their asses and hired Christian Whitehead to make the next sonic game, and its one of the most anticipated sonic game since S&K3. I wish nintendo would learn a similar lesson.
This is bullshit. Sure they have the right to take it down, but waiting until release day is so fucking shitty. Same with AM2R. These games were absolutely NOT secret in ANY WAY shape or form. Why couldn't nintendo have done this YEARS earlier? Now I'll go ahead and address anyone's feeble attempt at a retort saying "you can't shut down games that are in development". Yes you can. My proof Chrono Resurrection. Never had a playable demo and it got shut down fast. And even if they couldn't act because it was in development, these people have released MANY demos to the public. So that whole argument completely falls apart.
TLDR; Nintendo has the right to their IPs but waiting years upon years and issuing the takedowns on launch day? That's a shitty move from them.
Its funny everyone blew this way out of proportion. Sean Murray never -ever- hyped this game up saying it was ... well... what everyone EXCEPT the devs said it was. It was supposed to be an indy game from an indy dev. But for whatever reason everyone just wouldn't let the hype go. Now people are dissapointed by things that were never promised in the first place.
How is this impressive? Its just playing a lot. You get xp win or lose, there's no "skill" involved with gaining levels. It's literally how much time you sink into it.
Why don't they go and just not show anything and have panels for their movies. or why can't they go and show something and immediately release it to the internet? I mean I understand they want to have control over their rights. They spend millions of dollars making these movies. I'd want full control as well. And if you say you wouldn't, you are a fucking liar or don't comprehend how much money you put into a project. Regardless, there are ways of going there instead of just saying **** it and cancelling the whole thing.
So basically konami is being like a literal 5 yr old? They aren't playing with their own toys, but as soon as someone picks up said toy they start throwing a hissy fit because they don't want anyone else to play with it.
