How is this thread for system wars? im clearly just discussing about getting a ps3 or an xbox360 (as some people here suggested instead) for the purpose of getting GTA IV!.....im not trolling or fighting about any consoles man!

I knew it!!....if i watched the new trailer for Grand theft auto IV then i would get tempted to buy a Ps3!! God dammit!. The teaser trailer only lasted for less than a minute by you cant deny how awesome it looks!!. I wont be selling my Wii at all cus i know when SSBB is released then all the other good games will come flooding in after onto the Wii including Mario galaxy and MP3 but i need GTA IV too!! ha! 8)

Hey did anyone experience any signal position problems with their wireless router when you first conneted it to the Wii?. I just bought a new router today and the guy at the shop said that it would cover my house for signal and that to get the best signal i must place the router as high as possible. Anyway i connected up my router and then everything seems fine with the connection on the Wii and then it goes error and couldnt get connection blah blah blah but if i placed my router somewhere else then it all of a sudden started to connect fine!. The signal is just going on and off wherever i position it and i dont think if its a wireless router that it wouldnt even matter where i put it cus the Wii should just detect it anyway!. Has anyone ever experience this with their own router and if so what did you do?.

As you know Nintendo has a been in the portable gaming business for a long time. Despite with the PSP being out, having graphics as good or almost as good as the PS2, the DS has done wonderful in terms of sales despite the graphics it can produce. The DS has the innovative touch screen.

Okay, now relate what the Wii has in graphics compared to the PS3 and Xbox360. Now relate how inovative the Wii controler is.

It seems to me that gameplay is more important that graphics to consumers.

 Gameplay is important but Graphics do matter when lazy developers dont use the Wii's full graphics capabilitites!!!......then it really matters!!. The wii has more power than the original xbox but unfortunately it hasnt been shown yet :roll:

Online petitions do absolutely nothing. The only thing that *can* ever affect a company's actions is direct contact, through email (in this case). I've worked for a few corporations that track email, and they do tend to take it seriously, even if a direct change isn't made. If nothing else it can inform decisions they make down the line. The bottom line is that we're consumers, not their friends, and they're competing for our dollars. Don't be afraid to contact them and tell them exactly what you want.Spelunker

Oh no i was just seeing if it was a good idea to start up a petition first cus i would never have thought of starting up one cus i didnt think they work but seeing as Sony fans got a response off capcoms director in their petition then i thought it wouldnt have been such a hopeless idea. I have e-mailed Nintendo directly at least three times about my concern but of course they say they will respond to my e-mails in 4-5 days but i havent got any since and i sent two ages ago!. Thanks for the advice though, i just feel fustrated thats all and with some Wii owners willing to settle for friend codes then it makes it that much harder. :roll:

 Its younger gamers that we have friend codes in the first place for the Wii!. Younger gamers are not ready for online play cus they are too sensitive and  too vulnerable to handle any conflict that might be thrown there way!. I didnt say also they need not to play online but the older gamer should have at least an option instead of friend codes cus truth be told the older gamers are getting punished and dragged down because of younger gamers on the Wii (sorry but its true!). I thought the Wii was a family unit but it always seems like they think directly to younger gamers which is a bunch of bs!. If there is a petition starting up then im signing it for sure! 8)

I was just thinking how funny it was that Sony fans actually drew up a petition against having capcom releasing Devil May Cry 4 multiplatinum and for such a small pointless matter the sony fans still actually managed to get a response from Capcoms director himself!. Well i think personally us Wii owners have a valid complaint against friend codes being implemented into online gameplay this June!.

 I be nearly tempted to draw up a petition as well cus i have e-mailed Nintendo a few times and ive got no reponse at all!. I know alot of you really still want servers and to abolish the friends codes.....or at least have an option for older gamers like myself to choose to not use friend codes either!. Nintendo say they are using friend codes because of the younger games playing online but the fact of the matter is that younger gamers shouldnt be playing online in the first place!. We nintendo consumers have been so loyal and patient and all we want is a chance like every other system to play feely online cus i think we earned it over the years dont you?.

Who thinks starting up an online petition would be a good idea?.....i mean we dont have to get rid of friends codes all together but as an older gamer i do like having the option of choosing not to have them!

People post on the wii forums telling everyone theyre going to sell theyre wii, because theres no good games out.

Well its not i dont entirely hate the idea...............i mean the Wii actually dosnt have any decent games out (dont give me examples im just saying!!) but i wouldnt sell my Wii cus when SSBB comes out then those people will be really sorry selling their wii 8)
