playing this game really made me notice how repetitive zelda is... enter cave----find key----find new weapon----kill boss with new weapon----find next town to learn location of next cave-----REPEAT it felt like i was doing chores then having fun playing a game... just my opinion.

Gamespot use to be my favorite website, Reviews always came out just before the games came out so you knew wether or not to buy them and stand in line on release day. Now, its more common that gamespot reviews come out a day or 2 after the release date... some games even take weeks... other game sites like ign are are still on their feet popping out reviews before release dates... but gamespot is lagging behind like a 56k modem. If you check Oct 31st youll see IGN had over 16 reviews Gamespot only had 4... Im still waiting for a review for Battalion Wars 2 for the wii which came out on Oct, 29... its Nov 1st and still no review... wasnt this a place where gamers go to know??? or is it now just a place where gamers go to chat???

Wow first negative comment I've heard about Zelda. I don't agree at all, you can say that with all games, shoot, shoot, shoot...

Even the innovative ones, cook cook cook, math math math, etc. I don't think your argument is valid, I mean, all of the dungeons are different, the keys are different. Zelda has to live up to that kind of game, it is adventure, I think it would receive far more criticism if you start cooking in the game, etc.

Well since there are no argument fallacies in my post i cant see how its not a valid argument. actually your argument has the fallacies since i never stated a formula like, "shoot, shoot, shoot, or cook cook cook... Dungeons are only different in that same old formula Fire dungeon, Ice dungeon, etc etc... all dungeons have those same fetch type quests. find key, find special item, find boss key and use new weapon on boss. Actually i just read 1ups review which its hitting at the heart of my argument. "But another Zelda basically means another carefully choreographed series of fetch quests and multipart boss battles that, if you're less romantic about the series than others, eventually start to feel like going through the motions. Another predictable eventuality is that in every Zelda game, you usually have to find a very specific item to beat a boss just before you reach that boss, and you'll rarely use it again. That's like putting a key in a treasure chest right by the door you need to open, which happens as well." http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3163339&sec=REVIEWS

-Find dungeon -Find Key -Find Special item -Find another key -Kill Boss with Special item *Repeat* This is really starting to get old now. Nintendo has these little formulas and they never switch it up. The special items in this zelda, and TP are pretty cool, but you never really get to use them aside from that one level... normally the last level you have to use all... but its just such a waste... I played Metroid 3 for about 4 hours then got sick of the same old chores the games toss at you... its just not fun any more.. its just a chore... im playing Chibi-Robo DS more then i am Zelda DS or even Metroid... im actually really addicted to Chibi-Robo, its a real rewarding game. a nice break from the chores...

I bought Anno 1701 2 weeks ago on ebay and i have to say its the best game on the DS to date. it is amazingly deep, the controls are awesome and the strategy is great. Im so gald i bought it on ebay and didnt wait for a canadian release date. ive put more hours into this game then any other DS game so far... its just so hard to put down. other games worth checking out are -Rune Factory -Glory Days 2 (very impressed) -------------------------------------------- *just bought -Worms -Tiger Woods 08 ive got about 30mins into both and am also very impressed with these too.

MIDI Music sample. http://www.midishrine.com/ostepop/ngc/Metroid_Prime/final_mission.mid You have a midi player in your browser with all the instruments ready to go. this file , once played, will jam out on what ever instruments you have. The MIDI File is like sheet music, your MIDI Player (Quicktime?) is all the instruments. MIDI isnt real recorded music. its music that is generated in real time with, normaly, bad sounding samples. MIDI was always used in older games cuz real music took up too much space. a MIDI file is small in size since the only information it has is what notes to play at what time. think of it like a player piano. Now that we have a lot more space, nintendo should do some real orchestral music. its just a nice polish.

it really bothered me that Zelda TP was all MIDI Music but now just playing Metroid 3, im getting insulted that nintendo wants to force feed us crappy MIDI Music on there big games. Its time nintendo grows up! that "Human Voice" MIDI sound is discussing.

with gamespot, its always about a week or 2 AFTER the game hits the streets, even tho they get most games b4 the release date. this fact makes gamespots reviews useless for the hard core gamers (this happens to be MOST of the PEOPLE who USE GAMESPOT)since these are the guys who want the games as soon as its in stores. *like me* We need these reviews B4 its there in stores to help make better buy decisions.

2 VEHICLES uncovered today which play key roles in the new metroid game. the first one is an underwater propulsion device like the SeaBob, the second is a jet pack which allows you to fly and hover. there seems to be a lot of guesses about a jeep like vehicle but i dont think the worlds are made big enough to support that kinda game play.

Glory days 2 Heres what you have to do. -Make money buy capturing buildings, -With this money, MAKE AN ARMY. tanks, jeeps, troops etc etc. -Send them to the other side of the map and try and take over the enemies base. While the war is going on, you can fly a chopper or a plane and be apart of the action! bomb tanks, para-drop units in on the enemies base. What a cool GAME! i went to go buy it but, Nope, not in... so i ended up buying picross ds. ill be back to talk about how great that game is in a bit... but... damn IGN game Glory days 2 an awesome review. http://ds.ign.com/articles/809/809996p1.html
