Well, RE4 massive changes from RE1-2-3-CV was influenced by MGS2-3, so the devs cycle keeps on going.

Gears of War did all of that, but Gears of War 2 doesn't.

god, don't tell me your one of those "they screwed the shotgun" people...Its much more balanced, this way...gears 2 does it better, IMO. If your not, i apologise, but state your reasons.

Im gonna disagree it looks great but i still say uncharted looks just as good so idk gears 2 is pretty but not omg pretty like #1 was.

be kinda fair, both are different types of games, while shooters...gears of war makes sense to have all that destruction happening. Uncharted also came out awhile ago, whats not to say uncharted 2 won't up the level?

better comaprison would be Unchated 2 and Gears 2, IMO.

With Gears of War being MS newer and more better baby?(not yet, in terms of sales... but sooner or later..it might)

Gears 2 can be taken more seriously now as competition since its improved a heck of a lot story/online-wise. (less to no lag, etc)

and expecially to HORDE mode, that thing is so damn addictive and creative...and something that more games need and probably will have.

I don't know about you but i smelt abit of desperation when bungie recently said how HALO made Xbox, while true, its something we all knew about...kinda funny. We all know how cocky bungie have gotten over the years, with no real game matching the hype and love for the system, hell they want to take over the world...remember, should be interesting to see how big the gears franchise grows.

sure you might be thinking, err its on 1 console...why should bungie care...i think its just the priciple of being the better company/game, even if its the same console.

why, expecially..because its a japanese game, lol?

Teams like Capcom and Konmai, among others spit out some of the best visuals in gaming...RE5 will soon be the console graphics king, IMO...currently, MGS4 and Gears 2 are.

MGS4 has better character models, Gears 2 has better enviroment detail, IMO.

All i will say is, Gears 2 looks amazing..AT MOST PARTS and overall much improved. But when i first starting playing and did the training grounds i instantly thought of Gears 1, the low rez textures (more than normal) little jags on marcus's model...and the detail didn't see that improved. That all changed when you started underground in the caves. The massive envrioements and better detail was defiently noticable. I think the games got the best water i've seen.

Also people who haven't played it, yet hype the graphics need a reality check, those shots that were released are PR shots, with added AA...when played, you can noticed minor jags, etc.

Another thing, i think the game does have a lot more low rez texture this time, due to the much bigger levels.
