I would have much prefered the boomarang controller, it looked comforable and different, but thanks to the MANY complaints, sony had to change it. So they kept with what was safe, the dualshock and added some minor modifications.

I too don't fancy the controller, mainly the triggers, but seriously..buy the Giotek Real Triggers add ons...it feels SOOO much more better, trust me.

How do you figure that gears is boring? Its one of the most exciting third person shooters available. Each level is unique and different and the gameplay is anything but poorly designed. I am wondering if you really played it because multiplayer is NOT broken because tons of people including me still find it enjoyable and host advantage is barely noticeable. stop trolling.

PS: You might as well start righting another version of this thread for Gears 2 because it will be AAA easily.

I'm a big gears fan and play it online daily, but that is BS, while it isn't a BIG issue it gets annoying, expeically if you already have some minor lag, a second makes a difference in a game like gears, if you think you made the shot, but due to host advantage, it doesn't register quickly, enough...you get nailed.

I seriously hope Gear 2 has ironed this out, among some of the glitches and hiccups (can't jump down, or climb over sometimes)

Reviewers let it pass due to oustanding graphics and pretty Gore at the time, Gears 2 will need to do a lot this time to achieve the same score, standards have changed and competition is much stronger. IMO, gears 2 needs to deliver in the story, gameplay is nailed and fun as hell, but its still pretty much the same.

i'm calling a 9.4 score.
