A few new DVDs and some PC game deals!

Earlier tonight I got Mass Effect and Hellgate: London Collector's Edition from Staples at 50% clearance price. Mass Effect was $29.97 and Hellgate: London Collector's Edition was $49.97. After the %50 cut, they were $14.98 and $24.98 respectively. Total for both games after the taxes was $45.16 :D. As for new DVDs, on Tuesday night I picked up both Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian 3-Disc Collector's Edition and Step Brothers (single disc version) for $32.83 and $17.83 respectively from Wal-Mart. Total after employee discount and taxes was $33.39 and $20.15. Anyhow with Tuesday the 9th around the corner, you can bet that Dark Knight will pretty soon be a part of my DVD collection as well.

Some new cheap older DVDs........and FINALLY got my car back :)

Earlier tonight I picked up Open Season and The Last Legion from Future Shop for $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. Total was $28.23 after taxes. Before picking up those DVDs today, I picked up my car from the dealership after it had been there for more then a week for transmission repairs. Despite the high cost, I was very happy to get it back. For those that have in the past followed my blogs, I have had an 2004 Acura TSX for almost two years. During the time it was in the shop for repairs, I had a 2008 Kia Spectra with an auto slush-box tranny. Don't know about the rest of you, but I was somewhat embarassed having to drive that Kia on a regular basis. So for me, it was a GREAT feeling getting back my '04 TSX and shifting through that 6-speed clutch box . And besides rebuilding the gearbox due to a problem with the differential as it turned out and having the clutch replace since it would be better now then potentially doing it later, they mention that they also did a wheel alignment, some tuning of the fuel injectors and in the end saved me a small $124 off the original quote. So all-in-all, the end result was relatively positive despite the cost.

New stuff from the past couple of weeks......and car problems!!

I recently picked up Wall E 3-Disc Special Edition from Wal-Mart on the day of its release for $32.83 ($33.39 after employee discount and taxes).  Since this month also contained employee appreciation week, I also ended up getting 20% off on three items of choice, including items that can be combined together as ONE item.  During the past two weeks, I bought a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 16GB Flash Drive for $49.98 ($45.18 after 20% and taxes), the Sony Cybershot 10.1 Mega Pixel Camera along with an 8GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo for $265.98 and $69.64 respectively combined ($240.44 and $62.96 respectively after discounts and taxes) and Fallout 3 Collector's Edition for $69.96 ($63.25 after discount and taxes).  And finally earlier tonight I got Hancock 2-Disc Unrated Special Edition with the Future Shop exclusive T-Shirt included from, well Future Shop of course for $27.99 ($31.63 after taxes).

And now finally for the BIG ugly!  My car is currently in the shop getting a transmission rebuild.  And if all of you know a little bit about cars.......those can be downright expensive!  Especially I guess with a car like mine!

More DVDs..........again!

I picked up Hellboy 2 The Golden Army 3-Disc Special Edition and The Clone Wars 2-Disc Special Edition on Tuesday evening for $27.83 and $28.83 respectively at Wal-Mart. Total was $57.62 after employee discount and taxes. On Friday evening after work, I got Kung Fu Panda for $17.83. Total would have been $20.15 after taxes as there was no employee discount due to it being a two day new release special price, plus I bought some canned pasta along with that as well . And finally last Tuesday evening I purchased Get Smart 2-Disc Special Edition for $27.83. Total would have been $28.30 after employee discount and taxes, since I also bought some car care products that evening alongside with it.

Both Armin CDs were part of a buy two for $25 deal. The Tiesto CD was $13.99. Total for all the CDs was $44.06 after taxes.
