The last few (eventful) weeks........

Well where to start? Well I guess with what new possessions I've gotten from the last few weeks. Anyways I did pick up The Settlers: Rise of An Empire for ONLY.....and yes ONLY $0.98! Plus I did get an employee discount on it which brought the total to a whooping $0.99 after taxes. Other things I did pickup along the way were two music CDs. The CDs I got were Armin Van Buuren's A State Of Trance 2008 and Ferry Corsten's Twice In A Blue Moon. Since both CDs cost $25 as a result of the buy 2 CDs for $25 deal. Total after taxes were $28.25. And that's that for new possessions.

As for events well to start, my WD 150gig Raptor HD crapped out on me along with whatever was on it earlier in the month. So I ended up getting a WD 300gig VelociRaptor HD for $279.99 Cdn ($316.75 Cdn after surcharges and taxes) as a result of my impatience of not being able to use my main PC/workstation. On top of that, since my crapped out Raptor HD was still on warranty, I was able to get a replacement unit for the cost of shipping back the busted one. But the best part of it, was that I actually ended up getting a 150gig VelociRaptor HD :D. I guess that's because the old Raptor units have been discontinued and replaced by the VelociRaptors series.

Finally for my last and most significant event of the last few weeks, I sometime late last month took my car to an autobody shop to get touched up and repainted (the same colour) and just got her back on Fri. The car is looking great, although have a bit of an examination today, I do have a few questions to ask the body shop, mostly minor. But the shop owner did tell me to give him a call if I had any questions or problems. One of them being that I think one of the techs left a tool or screw bit behind the panel covering of the front passenger side door LOL. As there is a "rattling" noise from inside. I had also earlier last month purchased a lower aero kit for my car, but the body shop had told me that the front and rear portions did not match the year of my car, so I have informed the dealership where I picked it up of it. I haven't quite closely examined the side skirts, but those portions MIGHT actually fit my car after a little looking at it earlier tonight. And lastly.....I'll have to get a new key/wheel lock set since the key for my current wheel locks busted just yesterday :S! Anyhow that's enough babble from me tonight. Hope you didn't get too overly bored.....especially about my car portion :P.

New movies and an upgrade soon on one of my PCs.....

This weekend I picked up a few new movies for discounted prices. The movies I got were Australia, The Missing, School For Scoundrels, 21 and The Water Horse: Legend Of The Deep. The prices were $10, $5, $5, $12.83 and $10 respectively, not including any employee discounts I may have gotten plus taxes. Along with a few bags of chips and canned pasta I picked up with them as well :P.

I also during the middle of last week got a Pentium 4 3.4ghz Extreme Edition off of eBay for my aging socket 478 based system. I know it's an OLD system now, but I just love it. It's been that realiable for the past 5+ years.....along with a few upgrades within that timespan. Total cost of the CPU was $314.29 cdn including shipping. Ya that's quite a bit, but when a system has served you well for this long.......it's tough to part with it. Anyhow hopefully that upgrade goes well.

Recent Stuff........

This past weekend I picked up Spore at Staples in the 50% off clearance bin. It was originally $24.97, but with the 50% off it was $12.48 ($14.10 after taxes). Earlier tonight I bought Gone In 60 Seconds Collector's Edition (the 1974 H.B. Halicki's original one) and Top Gear Season 10 for $5 and $34.83 respectively after work. Total for both was $40.51 after employee discount and taxes.

New Blackberry Curve

This past weekend while I was at a nightclub, I had supposely lost my phone amoungst highly overly packed crowd of people. The very next day during work, I pick up a new Blackberry Curve. Then an hour after I get home, the security dude who found my phone calls my house believe it or not. Oh well, on the bright side of things.....my previous LG Chocolate phone was partially damaged and I had before been interested in getting the Curve. So it ain't all bad.
