Yakuza 3 Review
by Falcon084 on Comments
I was expecting a GTA type kirate action game with Yakuza 3 but its a moving story about a reformed Yakuza, who fights to protect his orphanage from a corupt government official and a band of evil Yakuza he is alligned with.
First off to they who are not studiers of Nippon culture here is some simplified history you will not find in the game:
Yakuza comes from three words; ya ku sa. In old japanese toung these are numbers and is an lod gambeling game. At the end of the last dynasty of Edo Samarai the noble lords and protectors of the lands were no longer needed and acording to thier code they were not allowed to earn money that their Shogan did not give them, so the largest majority that did not commit Seppuku {suicide by ritural disembowment} turned to gambeling. As time past they formed a mafia organisation called Yakusa and they exsist still today. History lesson ends.
If you missed GTA minigames this one has too many to count. Baseball, pool, darts, kickboxing champinships, golf and about 16 more. They're are not just add-ons but they are fully fedged games inside the main game. The main game is an RPG at heart with GTA, Tekken, and Japan thrown in and it works great! You can explore many areas on Okinawa {an island} and the Nippon mainland in your quest for justice.
Combat works where you are running down the street and bump into a gang or Yakuza member and the screen shifts to a battle perspective that is not unfamiliar to tekken fans. In these battles you can use near any thing as a weapon. Bikes, store signs trafic cones or even pick up a gang member and swing him into another if you like and there are weapons stores with all sorts of wierd and crazy weapons to use in combat. There is an RPGtype leveling up system inplace to increase the stats you want.
This game is the ultimte fun if you don't mind japanese with subtitles, or are learning the language like me 9.9/10. -0.1 because some of the while subtitles are hard to see some times.
For people who don't 8.8/10

Fabula Nova Crytallis Art
by Falcon084 on Comments
With the great game inside it is easy to forget the cover but when you look at the intrecte detail you have to admire the work they do to make us happy [the excects want money true but there are designers who do it for the art of creation. How do I know? I write books for the same reason :)]
No matter what you think of the game you have to admire the art. So enjoy these enlarged versions and what ever emotions to you they bring.

250,000HP! Final Fantasy XIII
by Falcon084 on Comments
I beat the last summon:D Just as I began my celibration I found a new far more dificult enemy one who's alies it can resurect and the scan shows me it has 250,000HP and although Lightning does 9000 damage with all other enemies this thing brings it down to 500. Even with two healers I last ten mins at most, and I have a new game tomorrow, so I'll have to play even harder and even out the day between the two.
Sad news DAO Awakenings has been moved back to the 18th in my area :( but at least it gives me time for the other two :)

Chapter 10 My FFXIII Update
by Falcon084 on Comments
If you find yourself in the game around easy to beat enemies that has a lot of CP take a day to fight them. I own FF1, FF2, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10, FFX-2 FFXII, Crisis Core FF7, Dirge Of Cerberus FF7, Dissidia FF and I have beaten them all. I hate to be unmodest but I am a master at FF games. So believe me where I tell you that the Summon battle in Chapter 10 is very hard, because I don't want to spoil it for you I will not tell you what it is but sufice to say it killed my whole team in one move, the battel took about three seconds. So once more I must upgrade my weapons, acsesories and characters lest I meet the same fate again and again.
The Text is large for a friend of mine.
