[QUOTE="Fallen1s"]Such as...? Anything that makes a given religion seem unbelievable due to modern science and almost everything that happened before recorded history. I mean, science never provides a definite answer to things in the extreme past, there is only speculation and theory based on what we observe in our current era and the scattered evidence of what once was. That being said, this theory in itself is speculation and...well..a theory. I bring it forth so people can either help me refine it or strike it down completely by presenting irrefutable evidence that it can never be possible. How do we explain UFOs besides discrediting any allegations? How do we explain the events in history that have no scientific explanation?

[QUOTE="Fallen1s"]Yeah, I'm am purposely not addressing that point of your theory...And the main point of this theory is that earth itself might be such a planet in the first place.

I respect that, really this theory came to fruitition while posing the questions: What caused all those mass extinctions? How do we explain UFOs besides discrediting any allegations? How do we explain the events in history that have no scientific explanation?
[QUOTE="Fallen1s"][QUOTE="spazzx625"] Wouldn't the risk of human lives be imminent if the need for food was great enough to force us to farm other planets? :|spazzx625
Try convincing a large chunk of earth's population to live on a different planet vs livestock and plants
In terms of cost, traveling back and forth plus the start-up costs of setting up a sustainable farming colony (or colonies) would be fairly great.Never said it would be cheap, but this is probably what would happen if the politicians couldn't convince an overpopulated planet to stop reproducing or killing off excess people to ensure humanity's survival. And the main point of this theory is that earth itself might be such a planet in the first place.
Overpopulation+Cannibalism=Profit? michael_1234576
What do you mean? I'm talking about taking edible animals and plants, preparing a planet to support life and propagating said livestock on that planet. The other branch of this theory is that Earth itself may be such a planet for other beigns.

ROFL! "I think I see a mutha***** right here"
I'm just hoping to get some feedback on this theory I was thinking about. For this theory to be possible then two criteria must be met:
Intelligent life in space
A realistic method to travel vast stretches of space
Now assume for a second that both coexist somewhere in space. Now think of our global food situation. Now what would be the solution humanity would seek when overpopulation threatens our ability to feed the masses? Why, seed another planet of course! Think about it, this would probly be one of the options that the world will look to a couple centuries from now. All you need is a atmospheric processor (got the idea from Aliens) to arrive on an earth like planet (mars) and have it process the atmosphere until the planet could support a resilient organism that produces oxygen. Then yoou seed the planet with said organism and once it is habitable enough for livestock then some would be imported to this world sized "farm".
Now heres the kicker: What if we are already on this "farm" but for other beigns? This is when the criteria mentioned above come into play. Assume for a second that both are met, this theory could be utilised to explain mass extinctions, signs that such extinctions are of space origin, UFOs and heck, unexplainable divine intervention. And a final note: If said beings have any sense of humour, maybe it is in the form of this popular saying: God is our sheperd, we are his flock.
Discuss.
Not every religion is based on the concept of salvation. not every one, even ,recognizes heaven and hell.grape_of_wrathI meant salvation or the equivalent, every religion attempts to pave a "way" that will lead to good things which motivates people to follow it.
