I dont know.
Give me a checklist of specific things that a god could possibly ask and I'll go through it. :P

From what I've seen:
Have only enough to live a life dedicated to helping those that are less fortunate, actually helping those less fortunate the best you can, to reject ANY feelings of hatred or revenge towards a fellow person, forgive anyone and everyone if they wrong you, to recite any prayers that are required to be recited according to a given religion at the appropriate time and place.
These are some themes I find quite often in some religions. Even in Budhism they have the concept of Karma and multiple lives affected by one's karma.
[QUOTE="FragStains"]In Christianity, you are to acknowledge Christ as your Savior. That guarantees salvation. Furthermore, you are to strive to live, using Christ as an example. You can never achieve that...but striving to that unattainable goal is the point.MetallicaKingsThats fairly easy, easy way to also bind a people together quickly
But what does it mean when a religion bekons its followers to avoid temptation or risk everlasting torment? Is it just a bluff? An exageration? How can you tell whats exagerated and whats truthful yet extreme?
[QUOTE="Fallen1s"]Funny story, I was with 3 friends and I demonstrated the move to them in a match. In the second match, one of my friends used the same moves on my other buddy who just saw me use it and still didn't see it coming XD Its called fools mate... and you can only do it against someone once!If you are sneaky enough you can use a queen and a bishop to checkmate in some 4 moves (not including your opponents)

Maybe he told you the meaning of life?Well a dream I used to have everyday for about a year or so was where I would be sitting in the tent which looked just like the one I was staying in at the time in Iraq and the sun was out and some sand was blowing. While sitting on my cot across from me was a demon who sat in a chair and was talking to me, however, I never remembered the language but I was able to understand either way. He would talk to me for a good while and then without warning I go from the tent to a pit full of sand and I along with some others who I never recognized are trying to climb out of the pit but the slipping sand makes it impossible. Choppers are flying over my head the sky is pitch black and then lights up with green flares and explosions rumble the ground beneath me. Then during the process of the dream I awaken.
Another consistent dream is where I would be in a house unfamiliar to me and would either be holding a few infant heads in my hand or watching a grotesque doll gaze at me while I stood in some location of the house. Either one or the other happened or sometimes both happened but it was always in the same house but different locations.
The last dream I was ever able to recall was where my uncle who had just died a few months ago when I had the dream was sleeping in the bed and tapped me on the shoulder. He asked me if I was his nephew. I told him yes and he apologized for not remembering because he said they make you forget in order to make the process of passing on easier. He said he has something he wanted to tell me and said I would probably not remember since they didn't want anyone to know about it before death. Of course I heard what he said however, I cannot remember what was said and since then I have not been able to recall anymore dreams.
I apologize in advance if the second dream is offensive to OT.

I remember being in a city and suddenly the news starts giving all these "the world is at war" news flashes that I didnt believe untill I saw missiles streaking the sky and nukes going off everywhere. There was a sudden flash and next thing I know I am a mind in empty space. God and some judges appeared and told me how I was not bad and not good so I will be given another shot at life. Suddenly everything starts spinning and next thing I know I see a doctor taking me out of a womb.
But how many people actually do their best? Do you think God has willfully adapted his expectations to suit the modern era? You're supposed to follow your religion to the best of your abilities. Follow whatever laws/rules were set forth and you stand a pretty good chance of getting to wherever your religion says you're going to go :P
In my case Heaven
