Anyone who is in a religion that requires personal sacrifice?

Now before you read let me notify you that this is a religious thread
But wait! Theres More! This is not a debate of whether or not a god exists, we've had to many of those...
What I want to address today is the question I present to you in the title: How much devotion to your respective religion is enough to successfully achieve whatever form of salvation that it promises? Atheists can take part too, you just have to look at it as "if God hypothetically existed". I have seen and read many books, movies and quotes having to do with what God(s) ask of their followers (mainly Christian/Catholic based) And it led me to the question: There's varying degrees of devotion that individuals of a given religion commit themselves to, where does God(s) draw the line between one worthy of salvation(or the equivalent) and one who has fallen out of favour? I mean, do you consider yourself as someone who does more of what your religion requests you do than your temptations?
Disscuss, and if anyone is curious I have no religion but I believe in God in a different level than what seems to be the more common view.
Any game can claim that title, I mean did you ever hear of sleeper hits?
Dr. Steinman for his hilarious line:
He is ugly *takes out tommy gun* ugly! UGLY! UUUUUUUUUGLYYYYYYY!
Seconded though oddly enough, I seem to be a bit numb to it all these dayzzzz. :P Same things gonna happen for Halo Reach and probably crysis 2 so its not like this is a rare phenomena[QUOTE="AnnoyedDragon"]
Anyone else feel like they are lost in another world with all this GOW3 hype? People are raving over things; and yet when you look at them you don't see what they are apparently seeing.

bummed, I was hoping for a new one in fall 2011.
Why? It would have only been 6 years.:?
What's wrong with a 6 year cycle? That's quite enough, especially when compared to the original Xbox.
Besides, the 360 is starting to show it's age.
"Fun" has no age, and the 360 is still very capable in the graphics department by console standards.
