@ghost140: The difference is product or treatment thereof. Most fans are willing to pony up cash the moment TT announces a GTA game, because most (if not all) of the most recent ones have been great. EA has Star Wars, another popular property, but A) they don't own it, B) SW has a spotty history when it comes to games and quality.
@dev-raid1: Oh no, I totally agree that EA could have done better job with this situation. At the same time, I watched the video and even the guy complaining didn't make it sound unbearable to play, just slightly annoying.
@KingKalo:If it is 40 hours, I' would say that's a bit harsh. Show them how unfair it is by not buying the game in the first place. MT's make EA extra money on top of the game sales. Telling them that you'll buy the game but not the MT's isn't really hurting them at all.
@wexorian: No, I wont pay for boxes just because you did. When you aren't that great at these types of games and are used to losing a bunch at the beginning (but keep playing because you're having fun), you get over it.
People are going to hate me, but 2 minutes in and all I see is that I can still get everything I need without spending a dime, I'll just have to struggle in matches against people who spent cash.
