@id0ntkn0w7: Yes, I know the word existed before then, but ever since Wandavision came out, just about every review for a comic property has had that word in it.
@Wraith3: But stereotypes do. Worked with more than a few lesbians in my time. One girl found a way to begin to answer damn near any question you asked with "Well, I'm gay so...". This lasted for a bit until our gay manager finally told her SHE was tired of hearing how gay she was. She left a few weeks later.
@xantufrog: There's a Family Guy episode where the family starts arguing about the Godfather. Long story short, Peter says he doesn't like it because " it insists upon itself". My point is that while opinions are varied when it comes to entertainment, make a better argument than a film "insists upon itself".
I was going to use the firefight in Heat as my example, but the way he went on about the length made this a better choice.
@dmblum1799: Like someone that has been reading reviews for the past few days and are wondering why this is one of the first bad ones that at the end tells you that neither version is actually better than the other just longer?
If a "Macguffin" has an actual back story and purpose, is it still a Macguffin? I swear, ever since WandaVision came out, I've seen that word more and more in reviews.
@cboye18: I liked the idea of the paradigm system, I hated how they handled the job aspect of it and who got what job. It got to a point where if I had to fight an enemy twice, I just looked at the roster and looked for the character I hadn't needed to use for the past 8 hours. 9 times out of 10 they had some job that none of the others had with the dumbest ability that should not make a fight that was taking you 10 minutes before only last 5 seconds. I liked how summons were activated differently in FXV, but it does get old after the first few times.
@Acheron18: FF fan since the first game on the NES.... FFXII wasn't necessarily turn based and I loved it (knowing I'm in the minority). FFXIII was turn based but the Paradigm system was horrible IMHO. I was satisfied with FFXV because while the battle system was a little wonky, they tried to tell a good story that didn't turn fan favorite summons into airships. With FFXVI I just want a game with recognizable foes and a story that doesn't try to make/force real world situations in a fantasy environment.
