show me proof wii outsold ps2 in it's first 4 years.

cant say anything about 4 years yet because no numbers have been released, but I can prove to you it outsold it within the first three years.

On the PS2 numbers, skip to March 31 2003 as that is 3 years after its retail availability. The numbers shipped is only around 51 million, and thats SHIPPED.

Wii onthe other hand, in the same time (3 years) sold 67 million. SOLD. There's your proof.

nope ps1 gamers were mostly hardcore gamers , if u watch old interviews they said they were aiming for people hardcore gamers in their 20's.

the ps1 and ps2 sold a lot because they appealed to brogamers. Not the 'hardcore' audience.

I don't expect Uncharted 3 to win anywhere near the awards that Uncharted 2 did anyways.

I'm personally expecting UC3 to outscore UC2 everywhere with a 97-98 Metacritic and solid AAAA (10) on Gamespot.

Also the number of games won't stop it from being recognized. Tons and tons games has been released this generation and UC2 was scored higher than all of them being the 6th highest rated game of all time.

Only Zelda, Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 are a threat to it. Other than that, I see no other game taking its place as the pantheon of Third Person Shooters like UC3 will be.

Nostalgia in gaming is most commonly associated with childhood. Games today may be great but they will never hold the same weight as the games I played as a kid simply due to the fact that I was a kid.
