Yes, you'll be all set with that 720p TV. You really won't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p until you get up into larger TVs above 50".

it amazes me how many dont ppl read the bottom capital lines i wrote and they proceed with 'witty' comments...

ye i know some ppl may not have had the problem but there are alot of ppl who have. im just saying i dont want to go through the hassle of replacing a system which souldnt be defective in the first place. i have owned all major consoles apart from the saturn/xbx360 and i have never had a single defect/breakdown with any of them.

What about the fact that they'll fix it for free for 3 years and often get it back to you in 2 weeks? Is that still too scary for you to even consider buying one?

You're missing out on a ton of great games for what amounts to a very small hassle if your one of the approximately 10% of consoles that could break.

[QUOTE="Fignewton50"]

Although rare, some console games are actually natively 1080p. I think Top Spin was one of them.

And from a pure amount of pixels on a screen, yes your laptop would technically look better than a console. But from a visual enjoyment perspective, I'd much rather game on a vibrant 51" TV with slightly lower resolution than a 15" laptop screen with higher resolution.

HuusAsking

Not Top Spin--Virtua Tennis 3. Both PS3 and 360 were 1920x1080.

That's what I was thinking of. Thanks

[QUOTE="Fignewton50"][QUOTE="lesner87"]

[QUOTE="mephisto_11"]not buying a ps3 again until its 250 with a decent library of games. there just isn't enough to justify 400 bucks when you can get the 360 with a much better library for half the price. lesner87

Yes but only without a hard disk,Blu ray,built in wifi and alot more.I think PS3 is on a very reasonable price.The library,if not better or equal it isnt that bad.

Do you need a hard drive, blu-ray player, and built in wi-fi to play games? No. Multiplats play the exact same on the 360 and PS3, and it's half the price.

Yes you need all three of them to make gaming A LOT better.Games coming in the very near future will take full advantage of HDD and Blurays.Living proof is Little big planet.Which sadly cant be done on the 360 because of less space.GTA IV had less frame rate issues on Ps3 compared to 360.Lesser loading times of oblivion on the PS3.

More space=More contents=better games.And i will be willing to pay 400$ ALONE FOR ONLY A DRIVE(BDrom)WHICH CAN PLAY 200GB DISC on it.Discs which are the size of a normal Cd/DVD.

No way in hell. Halo 3, Oblivion, Gears, all play just fine on a HDD-less 360. What are those games missing exactly?

And you give Blu-Ray WAY too much credit. The Sony hype machine has blown it way out of proportion. If Blu-Ray was so awesome, why don't PS3 games look vastly better than 360 games?

And please stop with the LBP can't be done on the 360, thats total bull ****. Any game done on the PS3 can be done on the 360. Blu-Ray just allows games to take up huge amounts of uneccesary room because they don't have to compress textures, sound, etc. Compression could be used to put any game on a Blu-Ray disc on a DVD. It doesn't make the game look like a N64 game or have mono-sound.

[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"][QUOTE="kid_who_grew_up"]They make a bunch of money even now. This bull about how expensive parts for the Ps3 are to produce, give me a break. They put some people in a shop in China pay them rice money and ship it out for me and you to enjoy, while the big shots drink our blood whine.kid_who_grew_up

Yup. All those quarterly financial reports about the billions Sony is losing on PS3...all lies. :roll:

Sony are using Foxconn to manufacture the ps3 so it's not surprising production costs have lowered using Sweat Shop Labour! Foxconn is hiring women from villages making them stay in dormitories and working for almost noting sometimes working for 20+ hours a day. The suits at sony do noting while thinking of ways how to cut down manufacturing cost down even lower.

You talk like you're the ex-chief of the factory. Any proof to all this, or are you simply guessing they're getting it for cheap? And someone has to buy all the parts to make the PS3 from someone else who charges too. Everyone needs to make a buck.

"We have to work too hard and I am always tired. It's like being in the army. They make us stand still for hours. If we move, we are punished by being made to stand still for longer…We have to work overtime if we are told to and can only go back to the dormitories when our boss gives us permission…If they ask for overtime we must do it. After working 15 hours until 11:30pm, we feel so tired."

"The first facility, run by Taiwanese company Foxconn, is described as "the original and largest plant to be built in mainland China. It's a sprawling place where 200,000 people work and sleep." Many are already questioning this figure as being an error of some sort, as that would basically be a city the ****of Tallahassee, Florida. It is worth noting, however, that the Foxconn facility produces electronics equipment for a variety of IT companies besides Apple, and the Longhua facility holds one-fifth of their "million-strong workforce." iPod Nanos are produced in a five-story factory at the facility, stationed with police officers who check everyone who enters and leaves to "thwart rivals intent on industrial espionage." For 15 hour workdays, pay at this facility is approximately US$50 per month."

And Foxconn assembles PS3s?
