@imajinn: Sequel? To what? MHW just came out in 2018. It's hard for me to comprehend that you mean a sequel to Monster Hunter World Iceborne, but I'm going to assume that's what you mean. It will probably be close to a decade before we ever see another fully fledged sequel. Huge games like this take years of development, and as I mentioned above, this game just came out a little over 2 years ago. A sequel is the LAST thing on Capcom's mind when it comes to Monster Hunter. And that's perfectly fine, with how strong this game is going still

"lack of action early on". I don't think it had anything to with action. And excuses like yours are so weak and ignorant. You're basically saying 'People didn't like the game because a good part of it was bad, but the rest of great'. You're one of those types of people who play through a terrible game (hoping it gets good) and when the game has an amazing ending, you give the game a 9/10. Sorry, but that's not how it works. Btw, I'm in my 30s. So i didnt get offended by your comment, I'm just writing/thinking with common sense and logically :).
A great game is GREAT through and through. You can't just judge part of a game, especially the parts you like the most. You can't ignore the bad parts.
I might as well write the other part of comment here;
I've seen two general things written about Death Stranding. Even the guy I replied to above wrote one of the two things. The first thing I see written about it is that people straight up hate/dislike it. Someone will write nothing but bad things about it in their review. The second thing I'll see is someone who likes/loves it....... BUT HERE'S THE KICKER; EVERY single time I see that kind of review (someone who liked it), they ALWAYS have something negative to say about it.
I've never seen a review that just praises the game, and that's the end of it. And I'm not just talking about someone giving it a 9.9/10 because there was one tiny thing they didn't like..... it's always more than one thing they didn't like about the game (the ones who liked the game overall).
@basketballfan: FFX?! where tf did that come from? Is that a typo? You're either a child or, well I can't say here, if you really meant FFX. FFX is easily in top 3 Final Fantasy games ever. That just blows my mind that someone would think that of FFX...that had to have been a typo
@Pyrosa: meh, i picked it up for free one time and couldn't finish it. Journey is a great game, but feel free to pass on Abzu......I'd give it maybe 5 or 6/10. Not terrible, but maybe worth a few hours.
The thing is, we all know there are individuals who work at EA who are good people. The problem is EA overall. EA is a terrible, evil, greedy, manipulative company. Those are opinions, but they are opinions shared by the majority. There's a reason they EARNED the "bad guy" persona. EA, Square Enix and Rockstar..... all the same. It brings me great satisfaction to know an article like this exists. It means the consumers voice is being heard (even if EA is listening enough to change anything), we know that we're getting under EA's skin :)
@thunderdragon24: You obviously haven't been paying attention to the online community. Most people who play KH3 have been begging for the game to be harder. Also, even so..... you've never replayed a game before? I almost always go back at some point and replay a story mode in all my video games. I'm guessing you're around 12-20 years old.
Whelp, I'll be waiting for the "Complete Edition". These devs are greedy. I bet Borderlands 3 Story won't even take 20 hours to beat. They're going to cut so much content from this game to save it for DLC.
Iceborne will basically be another area. It should have 4-5 new Large monsters, small monster, plant life, etc etc.... expect a bunch of armor and weapons as well.
I did some figuring out (based on the main game) and Iceborne should be $15. It might be $20, but anything above that is overpriced (even $20 is a bit overpriced). I've never bought a single microtransaction (been gaming since Atari days) and I rarely buy DLC..... but Iceborne is one DLC i'll buy in a second (so long as it's not over $20) because Capcom has supported MHW with so much free content and you can tell they put their heart and soul into the game. Companies like Rockstar, Square Enix and EA only care about cutting content from their games, only to milk that game for all it's worth with DLC (GTA V, FFXV, KH3 and everything from EA).
So happy to finally be playing a Monster Hunter game.... ive been wanting to ever since the first one came out but never had the system it was available on.
MHW is easily in my top 20 favorite games all-time.
