It's the bloody Quake 3 engine with 4 coats of paint they need a new engine by now, it's over 10 years old.

The mandatory "sewer" level which must be: long, repdeditive, feature the same texture on every wall, have poor art scheme (brown, green, darkness), be labyrinthine in design, be placed between or before good parts of the game, have the same annoying enemy over and over and exist solely to make the game longer/test your patience.
It doesn't have to be in a sewer to be a sewer level though, things like crypts and the Library level on Halo could be considered sewer levels.
and GT says "When Call of Duty 4 was released it set the bar for what multiplatform games could look and sound like. Modern Warfare 2 uses the same engine, and while it still looks absolutely stunning, the wow factor has been quelled a bit. That said, there are some scenes in the game that make the most of the engine's capabilities. The amount of detail in each level is only matched by Uncharted 2, with village markets so littered with minutiae that people walking by will do a double take and grenade physics that will make a smile come across your face. The lighting engine will literally make your jaw drop at many points, yet if you get up close and personal some of the shadows suffer from pixelization. While the continued reliance on long briefing cinemas is a disappointment, the in-game cinemas provide you with a chance to play director and frame some of the most dazzling scenes to your liking. The level of violence has definitely been ramped up, and some scenes are so starkly brutal that those with weaker constitutions will have to turn away. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions look identical, with both running at a blazing rate despite the absolute madness that takes place on-screen. There are a few wrinkles here and there, but it manages to retain its crown as the best-looking game to be released for more than one console." Key points are highlighted in bold. There's nothing really disagreeable in either of this reviews and neither hail the game as some technical marvel. Both reviews cite issues with textures and the fact that the game doesn't wow. The game has some of the best graphics for a multiplatform game, which is very true, but the best looking games tend to be exclusives (Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Gears, MGS4, etc).

"Bonus mouse and Keyboad support"
If you go to the museum you can really appreciate the lovely low poly models. Go check out the triangle bullet wearing guys in the favela area.

[QUOTE="mo0ksi"]Deus Ex is an ugly looking game. There's really nothing that stands out visually.Arach666
The game is from 98 bro :S
Actually,it´s from 2000 :PBut the graphics were still called bad when it first came out, and funnily it ran on an engine from '98!
Mine is ofcourse:
Dwarf Fortress!
Oh my god look at thoes graphics!
Latest version came out 2008 next version will come out in a month or two. Game is still in open Alpha so it's free to download and play but the devs (2 people) made 32 thousand dollars in donations just from 2009!
UT3 not using IWnet should be enough reason.
I don't understand your UT3 started the online craze line, did you mean to say the UT started it? It was well in under way by the time UT3 came out and isn't liked nearly as much as its ancestors.
Firstly I was trying to find the old thread about this to add it to bottom but it's lost in the depths of OT sorry.
You remember that thread about a group in the UK that wanted to protest the retuning soldiers in Luton and that the majority of post in the thread were basically "I don't agree with you but I won't stop your freespeach". Well guess what happened:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/beds/bucks/herts/8452616.stm
Real smooth move there.
Bits that stood out:
"Lawyers defending the men said their clients discussed their plans to protest with police beforehand, had agreed to a time and a place to do so with them, had complied with police throughout and officers had not objected at the time to their slogans."
and
"Citizens of Luton are entitled to demonstrate their support for the troops without experiencing insults and abuse."
This couldn't happen in the US but would be quite possible where I live aswell, the Bill of Rights is really something that all countrys should have.
Only LL screen I've captured, I was killed by this reactor breach and took it from spectator mode while tracking a friendly Catapult (can you spot the enemy MADCAT?).
[QUOTE="spazzx625"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]i think everyone should be armed.JandurinOnly if we can also ride through a desert post-apocalypse ala Mad Max. can we hike through the desert and find a plane and fix it up? :o Was that a mad max movie? If not, wth is it called?
Well there was a plane in MADMAX 2 and 3 but the movie where they fix a plane in the desert to escape is The Flight of the Phoenix.
The multi-player! For Krom's sake fix the multi-player on the consoles! It's my only real problem with them and why I like older non-multi consoles better where they used the consoles strengths instead of trying to be a gimped PC.
Out with cell-phone ping bars, match making and games hosted players consoles on the other side of the world. In with data servers running local 24/7 ded servers, proper ping readings, server borwsers with filters, server administrators, clan matches (proper clan matches not those psedu ones on the consoles now) and everything else that has been standard for multiplayer games for the last 10 years.
