I don't know if the armor model is better than RO they're just different sort of. RO put too much ephasis on impact angle so you had everyone sticking their tanks 45o to the enemy so the shots would deflect off the angled side and front (does a tiny bit of damage so it takes ages to kill, very annoying), it would usually boil down to waiting for an infantry to flank around and throw some shambeh bambeh on the engine. FH takes where you hit more into account (since it's BF2 engine they could stick armour values to every face), it usually comes down to your shot will do nothing or will kill the tank outright or atleast cripple it (which could be considered more realistic than RO's health wittling). Angling is still a bit over powered as with the M10 deflecting a KwK 36 shell off it's glacial but the Bf2 engine is much more conservative as to when things deflect.
No one seems to play FH2 in Austalia so I don't get to play it often :(
Virtualdub will export gif files from the selected frames of an AVI file, If you want to use another video type you can use Any Video Converter to change it to an AVI. Then you can use GIMP to resize and optimise (never resize an optimised gif, always unoptimise first) the gif.
