They killed the burnout experience IMHO: not being able to select a race or re-start a race annoys the hell out of me. You actually have to drive back the whole way to re-start the same race. It's just pointless. Also there will be no crash-junctions anymore, but stunt-events where you have to find and use various points to create the best combos to get the highest score. I've tried. I really did. I could only rack up about 5.000 from the 50.000 points. I don't get it. They took good, working stuff out and put broken, boring stuff in. It's as if they intentionally want to wreck the series. They WILL blame the bad sales this game is surely gonna get on the franchise itself, not on this latest, lamest installment and that will eventually kill the series off for good. R.I.P. Burnout franchise. You had a really good run with 1-4. Burnout Paradise will bury you....

I've completed AC in about 25 hours and it froze twice during that time. Not with other games. The PS3 version also crashes. It's the game. Relax. You where just unlucky.

Ho boy. look at all those typing errors!

Anyway, to all the pricks who think i am a bad designer, a big shut the hell up. You can't do what i did with R&C.

But, I think this calls for a new topic:

HALO 3 vs. COD4

Bungie vs. Activision/Infinity ward

Also if anyone wants tips to get into the BIZ just post here also.

HALO 3 story was slighlty dissapointing but fun, the online mode keeps this from the yellow sticker.

Is that better?

VGLeo34
To me you look just bitter that Halo3 (rightfully) outsold R&C at least 10:1. Also funny how you are not a fanboy or biased in any way, but at the same time work on PS3-exclusives... The stupid amount of typing errors also suggest that you really are an immature kid and not who you want us to believe you are...

The fastest time AC has EVER been beaten by one of the internal beta-testers was 8 1/2 hours and he knew EXACTLY what to do, where to go and the knew all the short-cuts etc. Anybody who hasn't that kind of information and claims to have beaten it in 6-8 hours is simply lying or deluding himself. Even if you rush it and skip all cut-scenes etc. you still need at *least* 10 hours rushing through it. I've played it with all side-missions (except the flag-collecting) and it took me about 25 hours. Calling a story-driven game with 25 hours playtime "short" is, well, nothing short of stupid (pardon the pun).

Its all comes down to getting MS to actualy say what the LIVE cash goes to, which is as of yet a mystery.teebeenz
You're kidding right? The live-servers (hardware) are free you think? The staff that maintains the servers and databases works for free? Just compare the PSN and Live and you see: you get what you pay for.

You named some current-gen action-games that are too short (in your opinion). How about you name some last-gen action-games are longer? You suffer from the typical nostalgica effect. Everything was better back then, until you re-visit these games and find out: 1) They graphics are almost unbearable compared to todays games 2) They aren't any longer, some are even shorter than todays games 3) Your mind has been playing tricks on you. You only remember the good times.

The new dashboard update features an "promote child account to full account" menu. Use it.

[QUOTE="satan112"]

I thought that all the 360s were provided with HDMI ports, little did I know that the early versions weren't. Now I have a HDTV that I can only connect the 360 to via HDMI but no HDMI on the 360! Microsoft have effectively cheated everyone who supported the console launch.

Any work arounds?

Emailed MS to see if anything happens.

teebeenz
HDMI wasnt and isnt important for 360s, there are only a couple of games which support anything more than 720p, the 360s picture doesnt make it to the TV in a digital format and it lacks the support for the HQ sound which HDMI uses so its just something to try and match the PS3, which actualy HAS a use for it.

The HDMI port of the 360 is not some converter. It really IS the picture directly out of the chip. Spew your nonsense somewhere else.

It's the console. Try other games. You will see that they will all come up with disc-dirty errors after a few hours. Send it in. Get a replacement.

I wish it would. I get teamed up often against "underground" players (me being "recreational") and it seems they cuss the most, quit most often and are largely rude. The should rename "underground" to "pre-puberty" and "pro" to "I wish I was a pro".
