Guitar Hero 3 Wishlist Part IV: Buckethead - Night of the Slunk

Song that would be awesome to play in GH3:Buckethead - Night of the Slunk

Those of you familiar with GH2 knows what Buckethead can do with a guitar. Congratulations to those that have beaten Jordan on Expert. I got such an ache in my arm whenI decided to try last time that I´m never trying again. For Gh3 I want to see Night of the Slunk. Its about the same style as Jordan. Seeing as Buckethead is composing everything from Trash Metal to Acoustic ballads its kind of a hard choice to pick what you want to see in the game. Well I decided that I want to see Night of the Slunk. The sound of this song is what you might call "typical Buckethead" when it comes down to picking what is "most" Buckethead. Its a very cool and catchy loop on the guitar with small shredding breaks followed by a crazy solo and then back to repeating the first loop. This one is probably even harder than Jordan but Buckethead deserves to be insanely hard because this man is one of the most skilled guitar virtuosos of our time. Buckethead and my previous pick, Herman Li, is arguably the fastest fretboardpickers in the world. Anyway. I never want to see a GH game without my man Buckethead or Brian Carrol as his real name is. And no..there are no real pictures of him without the Micheal Myers mask except one old newspaper article from his teens.

An excellent Live Performance of Night of the Slunk can be found here !

Guitar Hero 3 Wishlist Part III: DragonForce - Through The Fire And The Flames

Song that would be awesome to play in GH3:DragonForce - Through The Fire And The Flames

The magic of Herman Li unleashed. Known as one of the best, fastest and most technically impressive guitarists ever, the lead guitar of DragonForce, Herman Li, still blow minds everytime he touches a guitar. This man can do anything with a guitar and about 10 times as fast as anyone else. I actually dont really know if this would be fun to play in GH3 because on Expert you would probably lose before the intro was over if they adapted the difficulty to Hermans real skills. Actually they would need to give out a new guitar with thrice as much buttons on it and then have it explode when you finished the song. This is Jordan in GH2 x 5. It would be the hardest song in the game for sure but this madness deserves a spot in a guitar hero game. Because this is pure guitar insanity. If you were to pin me down and ask me wich guitarsolo is the best ever, this would probably be my spontanious anwer. It might not actually be the case but this is the first song and solo that comes to mind. If this song gets its rightful place in GH3 and someone actually finishes the solo on Expert I will personally come over there and give him a big frikkin medal !

Guitar Hero 3 Wishlist Part II: Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade

Song that would be awesome to play in GH3: Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade

In style with Laid to Rest by Lamb of God in Guitar Hero 2, My Last Serenade feautures some heavy grinding guitars with some smooth melodic chords together with heavy growl vocals. The chorus here tho, is of the very melodic kind and offers a nice break in the heavy guitars with some more delicate playing. This is a great song and it was written back when Killswitch still had Jesse as lead singer. Killswitch has kinda fallen from grace since then and this song must be the pinnacle of that band. Its rock heavy and sits like a punch in the face. I would totally wanna play this in GH3.

Guitar Hero 3 Wishlist: Zebrahead - Falling Apart

Song that would be awesome to play in GH3: Zebrahead - Falling Apart

Zebrahead might look like"just another punk band out of the OC punkrock scene" if you pick a random song and play itbut they truly have something really special with "Falling Apart". This song is a masterpiece of heavy punk-rap-pop with some guitarwork that would really rock in a Guitar Hero game ! Everyone should also listen to their cover of the old Spicegirls hit "Wannabe" just to bask in some awful 90s girlpop made punkstyle. Its an experience!

More to follow!

A video that everyone with a sense of rythm and humor should see

Insanely good mixed together by Japanese Techno / Hardcore DJ Bubble-B and so funny you´ll laugh out loud at the sheer insanity of it. The story is pretty much that Bubble-B likes to mix popular TV Commersials and make fun of them and insanity like this happens. You´ll be amazed how good he has put this together !Maybe Im wierd and maybe its just me but I find this music video the most awesome thing Ive seen in a long time in all of its stupidity! Enjoy!

BUBBLE-B RYUKYU ANJU

I guess most people wont get the musical greatness of this mix but some of you with the same twisted mind of rythm that I have should defenitaly check out more of Bubble-B´s work. The official site is http://www.Bubble-B.com tho its pretty heavy on the Japanese if you´re not familiar with the language. Also check out some more videos on YouTube, you wont regret it!

GameSpot S60R - Jeff Gerstmann Edition (Full scale @ My Pictures section)

Ye check "Pictures" for the full blown size of these pics (click "view original")and you should because all the small details dosent show very well when watched in this resolution. This is my first completed design for Forza Motorsport 2. I sent my first S60R to Jeff himself via XB Live and Im now going to try putting out some of these in the auctionhouse to see if they sell. Havent tried to sell anything there yet butI hear its addictive once you get started.

Games I would like to see on the Virtual Console.

Im´m going to be perfecly honest and say that the VC is kind of weak at the moment. Theres actually not alot of things worth buying on there for an old Nintendoplayer like me. I´m missing sooo many huge releases that I could go on all night but here and now I´m just going to list the 10most important ones in no particular order. Please correct me if I´m wrong and one of these titles already exist on the VC. I am sick and are kinda dizzy and I havent checked the VC in over a week now.

Mega Man - NES - Themasterpiece that started it all. not the best one in the series but a must have for the collection.

Mega Man 2 - NES - One of the games that could be no.1 on a "best game ever" list. The best Megaman game and some of the best tunes you´ll ever hear in a videogame.

Duck Tales - NES - Duck Tales 2 is arguably the better game but just as with Mega Man I want it lying there on my Wii.

Duck Tales 2 - NES - There was alot of good Capcomdisney games back in the day (as you can clearly see). Duck Tales 2 might be the best example of the golden Capcom/Disney era. I so want to play this one again !

RC Pro Am 2 - NES - One of the absolute best racinggames of its time. I still remember those long evenings after school with my parents enjoying it just as much as I did. It was like one of those "everyone is having SO much fun" - Nintendo commercials.

Bubble Bobble - NES - I cant for the life of me get why this isnt on there yet. One of the top 3 NES games ever and just as with RC Pro Am 2both me and my family put hundreds and hundreds of multiplayer hours into this one when I was a kid.

The Flintstones - NES - Crazy good for a licencegame just like loads of NES titles. Sweet platform action that I´d play again any day of the week.

Terranigma - SNES - Another candidate for "Best Game Ever!" on my list. Even to this day there are few RPGs that have surpassed the greatness that is Terranigma. Top notch music, characters, dialogues, dungeons, spells and a story that lives with me even to this day! Give me !

Chrono Trigger - SNES - I´ve heard SO much good about this game yet I have actually not played through more than like 1/4th of it. I´m ashamed and want to change that !

Darkwing Duck - NES - Again, another TOP-NOTCH CapcomDisney licence game. I have actually relatively recently tried to find the series somewhere so I can watch them again and yea, I´d like to play the game to. DD is about as awesome as a Disneyhero can be.

Cliffy B, not only the worlds greatest gaming genious...

...but also the worlds greatest blogger. I read his blog everytime he cba to update it. Recently I bought a new computer and for somer reason i kinda forgot about his blog since it wasnt in my bookmarks anymore. I just now decided to catch up on missed Cliffy B blosposts and what i found was maybe the best frikkin blogpost I have ever read and I just felt an urgent need to copy/paste the whole thing in here. So if u´re not reading his blog already this will surely tip you over. The URL is http://www.cliffyb.com/ and the following is a quote from his post "detail oriented" that was posted 2007-05-08

----------------------------------------------------

"Those of you who read my blog know that in addition to gaming I'm a bit of a movie buff. Now that the summer film season is in full swing I felt obligated to line up for the one and only Spiderman 3 this past weekend. Not only did I catch this flick I caught it in the glory that is IMAX...

In the second row. It's now Tuesday night and I think my neck has finally recovered from whiplash. I literally had to move my head around to see what was going on. Cool in some ways... not so much in others...

Anyways, yeah, the movie was okay, but I had a few problems with it.

First, where was Venom's enormous tongue? Whenever he appeared in the comics he'd always have this enormous slobber ridden thing slopping out of his grille, flying everywhere like a labrador with its head hanging out of the side of an SUV. Nada. Kaput. I just wanted a little Spidey Super Villian tongue action and instead every time I saw that nasty shark face it quickly melted away into Topher Grace with bad prosthetic teeth.

Second, the world needs more Parker Posey.

Third, Kirsten Dunst's snaggle tooth is about the size of a 21 inch spinning rim when viewed on Imax. The thing looked like the tip of a big canine iceberg, ready to come out of the screen and chew me up into bits. Poor girl even had a pimple on her chin in one scene which appeared to be the size of my fist and would probably yield a good half gallon of ooze if popped.

Others noticed the "straggler hair' poking off of James Franco's shoulder in one scene. You know, we all get it, that one over ambitious hair gland that decides that it's going to work day and night to outpace all of the other hair glands so one day you wind up with a two foot long strand hanging off of your back which you then decide to hang onto to see just how long the damned thing will grow. (Perhaps you can lower it from your bedroom window like Rapunzel to allow suiters to come up and visit.)

I also swear that during one scene I actually saw powdered donut residue on the side of Franco's mouth.

Anyways, rumors about a Spidey 4 are already spreading like wildfire on the net. Some are claiming that Mandy Moore will take over for Mary Jane to which I say "Bravo!" I haven't found Kirsten Dunst hot since "Interview with the Vampire."

Just kidding, feds.

Let's hope Mandy negotiates to have some money put into the budget to allow for some computer generated donut dust and pimple remover because, quite frankly, that's all I was noticing half the time.

p.s. Dear Motorola: Please make a battery for my Q that lasts more than 6 hours. If the battery that I paid extra to die on me is the 'extended' life I fear for any sucker running around with the 'regular' life. "

The best combination.

So summer just kicked in for real over here and I didnt have time to think more than "finally" before I was sick. I now have fever and a terrible cold to go with it. This combined with boiling summer heat is crazy unpleasant. Im just lying, sitting or wandering around the house in a crazed sickly, sweaty state sneezing and whining about how bad I feel while trying to stay out of the bed for at least a couple of hours so the sweat can dry up a bit from my pillows. The heat also results in a constant nausea wich makes drinking oh so hard. As you probably guessed by now drinking is pretty darned important if ure sick with fever and the weather is warmer than ever. So yea..the huge Blog comeback is kind of delayed, Now if you excuse me I need to go drench my towel in water again, its whats keeping my head from burning up..

Im BACK !

Hi Internet !

It seems that when summer approaches I get an urge to start blogging. It was about this time last year that I started blogging seriously on this site, started rambling about stuff and started to write my own "Final Verdicts". Then fall came and with it also Burning Crusade. The darkness of swedish fall / winter & an expansion for WoW blew away my lust for blogging here on GameSpot. Well here we are again, the end of May. Sun is shining and just as last year my urge to play an MMORPG fades with each day of sunlight. Just like last year im starting to look towards other games and towards my bloggingspace again. So for the few of you that actually bothers to still check this space I will now announce that I will be starting to write about stuff like wich games I buy and what I think about them again, who knows, maybe someday It will be a fun read for someone.

Since the last time i blogged my WoW chars are indeed both lvl 70 now and I am currently gearing up my Paladin. Leveling my Pala kinda sucked the lifeforce out of me tho so I cant even begin to play hardcore again. I have also bought a NDS-Lite & Wii not to long ago so now theres only a PS3 left until I have the "Holy Triforce of gaming entertainment". The PS3 will probably be something I will look to when fall comes again (because If I quit WoW again I will NEVER start playing it again). I also bought a new PC. My old one was about 7 years old. Yea you heard me. I actually bought my previous computer when I was 15 years old so it was about time ! The new one is nowhere near the worst of the worst. Computers still cost money so I bought something that will allow me to play todays games but not allow me to crank Crysis up to Ultra High and brag about it, ill leave that to those that does NOT own a total of 10 consoles outside of their PC. Other than that I´m still working at the same job, still driving the same car and still living at the same place. I still love Pizza and Burgers and I still put alot of money into gaming. So not much have changed since I turned 22 years old. Anyway, I´m not going to make this post any longer than it already is. I´m gonna continue this tomorrow with a recap of some games I´ve been playing over the last months, what I look forward to playing and hmmm, maybe ill throw in some rabbling about Music or whatever.
