@Spartan_418 That's because Frostbite 2 was originally designed for next gen hardware. The current consoles struggle to run it. I'm thinking the bugs found BF3 are either due to the limitations of current consoles, or to the programming of the game itself, not the engine.
Gokuss4z: Any specific game doesn't represent the limit of the engine that it's running on. Game engines are CONSTANTLY being updated, changed, and revamped to showcase better visuals. For example, the Call of Duty series (Yes, even Black Ops and MW3) runs on a modified QUAKE 3 ARENA engine! I'm sure Frostbite 2 is (and will be) capable of graphical feats that make Battlefield 3 look bad. We're just waiting for the hardware that can do that.
Second-hand game sales NEED to be RESTRICTED next gen. There are a LOT of reasons why. And a LOT of them will end up benefiting the gamer's. I just wish more people realized this.
THIS, MY FRIENDS, is one of the reasons that the next gen consoles should have a method of RESTRICTING (not blocking) them from being able to play used games. The developers and publishers make absolutely NO profit everytime a used game is sold.
So wait, this new "cheaper" 360 with 2 years of xbl will cost MORE than the regular 4gb 360 with 2 years of xbl?? How is that cheaper?? AND there is an early termination fee??
