[QUOTE="GamerwillzPS"]This guy.... I know, right?Of course, that's to be expected from PS3 since there's a massive amount of potential and power in the PS3. Did you notice how visuals improved from Uncharted 2 to the 3rd one. It just keeps getting better. So there's plenty of power left in the PS3.
The Xbox 360 is pretty much done and is ready for the next generation.

[QUOTE="FollowY0urBliss"][QUOTE="Chris_Williams"] put a game in your 360, turn it on, while your in the game, pick up your 360 and sit it back down. You know damn well the 360 has a problem with scratching discs. Why would you EVER move or pickup ANY console (or even pc... but that would be more difficult lol) that's on with a disc spinning in it? While it sucks that the 360 is more prone to scratching discs than say, the ps3, it's your roommates fault that his 360 scratched his disc. He should be more careful. I've never moved, bumped into, fell into, wrestled, or picked up any console that's powered on with a disc spinning. lol And I'm slightly clumsy. maybe what i said was a little extreme but I bump into my consoles at times and i never had to worry about my disc scratching, I wish you could have seen it, he really did just barely bump into it and after that the system just stop reading the disc, then again Japanese products are always better made then american ones.Chris_Williams
Eh... I'll give you that. lol Especially when it comes to vehicles.
yall must be stupid then because ive never had a disc scratched by a 360 or my ps3. Ps2 just did it on its own. Halfway through the gen and the blue discs were pretty much unplayable put a game in your 360, turn it on, while your in the game, pick up your 360 and sit it back down. Yep, that's the one thing that the Xbox 360 does better than the PlayStation 3, destroying discs!

[QUOTE="mems_1224"]sony has always sucked. Their only decent console was ps2 and even that was a cheaply made pos. DRE was worse than rrodsoapandbubblesRROD is the worst console defect ever created. It's a heating/GPU issue, it was like a ticking time bomb. While the DRE was bad, again the RROD is a much worse problem..you can't argue that. Not to mention the way MS delt with the issue, lol. By extending the warranty and replacing the console for free?
[QUOTE="FollowY0urBliss"][QUOTE="DarkOfKnight"]False, you don't need to go outside the USA to do it. And this didn't disprove my other comment. It varies based on the nation. Also the problem is we are getting a lot of lip service, no real sources to back up the claims being made. Kinda a hard sell.DarkOfKnightlol I was agreeing with YOU. And I never said you had to leave the US.... You sure? Kinda sounded like you can just walk into any store in the UK and buy them all nice and legal. I'm pretty sure you can... mod chips, specialized tools to open up consoles.... I didn't mean pre-modded consoles, or pirated games.
[QUOTE="FollowY0urBliss"]True. In America, if you want to mod a console, you have to do a firmware flash, OR order a mod chip from someplace like the UK. While chips like those are forbidden in America, you can walk into any electronic shop in the UK and buy any piracy device you want. lol It's kinda messed up.DarkOfKnightFalse, you don't need to go outside the USA to do it. Um... I'd think hermits being out of touch with piracy would be a GOOD thing... this thread just shows exactly how out of touch hermits are....

[QUOTE="lightleggy"]It's completely different. the situation in America only applies to America.DarkOfKnightFalse. There are plenty of nations similar, like Canada and the UK.
The situation in Costa Rica applies to all the countries where piracy is that high because the conditions are extremely similar.lightleggyFalse. The situation can vary based on each nation.
And if you would have read my post you would know that I said that the stores you buy the games from take care of modifying your consoles as well, a PC might be necessary to modify, but YOU dont have to be the one who do it.lightleggyBS. You said you didn't need a PC to do it, if you meant somebody else can do it for you fine, but a PC would still be needed for them.
Also people in these countries dont "go pirate" because they cant afford a 60 dollars game, it's because the games dont cost 60 dollars here at all, in the case of costa rica a game can cost around 90 dollars, in countries like mexico they cost like 150 dollars so obviously barely anyone buys, they dont buy them because they are overpriced herelightleggyI said they pirate because they can't afford the games, which you clearly agree..So whats the point here?
not because they are "zomg so poor they cant afford water"lightleggyDon't take my words out of context.
I actually believe the poverty rate is higher in the US than it is in Costa RicalightleggyPointless and different. Grasping at straws. And no it's not.
and before you go "obviously because the US has far more people"lightleggyPreemptive attack, lovely.
then let me say that rates are meassured in percentages.lightleggyIt also has to do with other factors. People under the poverty line in the USA would be above it in other countries. Comparing poverty in the US to poverty elsewhere is like comparing temps on the Sun to a toaster. BTW, Costa Rica's poverty rate is 24.2% and the USA's is 15.1%. But they are still different due to the idea of poverty in each nation. Check out poverty in America, funny how many live in homes and have internet and cable. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/cs.htmlhttps://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/us.html Oh and to show you how stupid it is to compare, the poverty line in the US for a family of four in 2010 was $22,314. Not comparable. Poverty problem yes, anywhere near Africa or Costa Rica...No. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/14/us/14census.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all
