what's even worse are those stickers you get on the top of CD cases. Cases that are already sealed in plastic! GAHHHHH! Those stickers serve no purpose other than to make me want to kill the person who put it there!

Actually they're there to let the manufacturer and the retailer know whether or not the package has been opened or otherwise tampered with to prevent the public, and the retailers, from trying to return used product as if it's new. Also it's an old holdover from when DVDs were still relatively new and a lot of retailers shelved DVDs in large CD bins in which everything is faced out. That way you could look down and see the movie you wanted immediately instead of having to flip through the entire row.
But the albums are already wrapped in plastic, so you know that if there's no plastic then it might have already been opened by someone - no need for the extra sticker. I haven't seen any DVDs with these kind of stickers, but you get the artist/album name on the side of the CD case anyway so they should just stock them with that side facing out. But if they are still really adverse to putting the CDs that way round they could at least just put in a strip of paper with the details rather than a horrible sticker which is almost impossible to get off, leaves marks on the case and causes the album to stick to the other cases in your CD collection between which it is sandwiched.
Get rid of them, I can't take it anymore!!!
