Bike

Not really a fan of their stuff post-Barrett anymore, although I used to be really into them. I still like Pigs on the Wing Pts 1 and 2 though.

Ulysses by James Joyce. And I could only ever tackle a few pages at a time, which made it even worse.

The Bible. Sort of. I gave up half way through cause the story didn't seem to be going anywhere.

I'll just list 10 of my absolute favourites (or ones I deem to be imporant) in no order

Radiohead - Kid A

The Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out

A Silver Mt Zion - Horses in the Sky

Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven

Arcade Fire - Funereal (OK, not exactly original but I still found it brilliant upon its release)

Low - Things We Lost in the Fire

Joanna Newsom- Ys

There have been some great records released this year. Such as Why There are Mountains by Cymbals Eat Guitars, the new Mount Eerie album and pretty much everything Film-Guy has posted. Those are good lists for the people in this thread (who are stating that "modern music sucks") to refer to.

But my favourite album so far is the new Bill Callahan album. I think it's going to be difficult for it to be knocked off my #1 spot.

is MGS available for download for people in the UK? The PSN store has hardly any PSone classics available to download here. FF VII, a few Crash games, Syphon Filter.. and that's pretty much it :(

Ehm, I think it's impossible for me to pick just one but Polythene Pam, She's Leaving Home and I'm Only Sleeping are some of my absolute favourites.

I voted for M. Ward but I like Andrew Bird too. I'm not really a huge fan of the other three.
