Another Marvel game given a pretty bad score

Iron Man, was today given, 5.5 by Gamespot. I am for once not going to badmouth Gamespot about this score since I haven't played the game either, but I am still deeply disapointed as Marvel Games are not really doing well with critics now. Most of the games they produced are given below average scores, infact some of them got cancled! (DareDevil) There is a new Marvel game coming out called The incredable Hulk, I hope this can make them well known again for producing good games. I on the otherhand am going to get all of there games since I'm a big Marvel fan anyway, heck I even own Spiderman 3 Collectors edition and that shows somthing. Well anyway apart from that Angel Season 5 arrived but I'll tell you more in my next video blog.

Well give your thoughts on Marvel Games, do you like em hate em or whatever, seya!

Rip Gamer TV, 2002-2008

Fotr those of you who do nopt know last week Gamer TV did it's last episode, it was a big dissapointment for me since I loved watching there shows and I always loved Sam Delaney since he was always being sarcastic and he was incredably funny. The first episode aired December 2002. In October 2005, the UK edition briefly changed name to "Gamer TV: Next Gen" for 12 episodes that featured host Sam Delaney on screen. In January 2006, Gamer TV reverted back to its traditional name and Sam Delaney's narration. On 14 September 2007 the series celebrated its 250th episode. On the 25 November 2007 episode, Gamer.tv changed it's scoring system from out of 5, to out of 10.

In the UK, it has spawned two spin-offs, also aired on Bravo. The first is "Gamer's Guide To..." and then a different subtitle each week, such as PS3 or Wii, which showcases all the reviews from previous Gamer TV shows in a compilation of must own video games. The second is Gamer TV Extra which includes the production team revealing more on the games featured in that week's Gamer TV as well as some games exclusive to Extra.

The last episode was there 283rd and they reviewed Iron Man (7/10) and Final Fanatasy 7 I think (9/10) and they did a Grand Theft Auto Restrospective. The show didn't get replaced because it was bad, on the contrary, it is Bravo's most viewed TV show and has one loads of awards. The reason is that most game shows last about 2-6 years and then the comapny that produced the show go on to make another game show, seems a bit pointless since the show was at it's peak and was getting funnier and funnier every day. Unfortantly it did and now it's being replaced by a game show called Playr.

The first episode of it aired today, and now I know for sure they made a huge mistake. The narraortor has a annyyoing voice and he sounds like a mix between an Amercian, a English man and a robot, not a good combination. He never cracks jokes and he ijust sounds bored alot of the time, he dosn't even come close to beating Sam Delaney. The theme tune has been ruined and it just sounds dredafull, the layout of the show is mostly the same but they didn't really do any good games on it. Just some Jenga game for The Wii and a racing game for the DS.

That episode has put me off the show and now I'm just going to watch re-runs of the good old Gamer TV. Tell me what you think of the new show and your thoughts of Gamer TV. Oh and I ordered Angel Season 5 yesterday and that means my Angel and Buffy collection will be complte, I'll tell you more in tommrows video blog.

Perfect Scores All Round

Grand Theft Auto IV was released today and there was lots of hype buiolt up over it and accoriding to every single gaming site (Aside from a few sites Gamespot and about 90% of players it has gotten perfrect scores. It has gotten 10/10, 100/100, A+ and all that, it has been praised for having

Superb character-driven story, Liberty City really does feel alive, Multiplayer modes that let 16 players go wild across the entire city, Genuinely funny radio and TV shows, comedy acts, and character dialogue, Controls are much improved over previous games.

It's only minor complaints was the fact that there were minor complaints about AI and some ninor viusal quicks, apart from that its perfect. I never knew the game would get 10/10, especially from Gamespot! In the past Gamespot has only given a perfect 10 to 4 other games, now Grand Theft Auto IV joins the hall of fame. Alonside it is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Chrono Cross, Soul Caliber, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.

This by me was unexpected since I never knew it would be THIS good, I'm glad it didn't come out the same time as MGS4 because it would have caused some seroius compotition. Well I will now be defantly getting it but not after I pre-order MGS4, what about you guys?

Also I got my German speaking exam tommrow, wish me luck.

Home Gets Delayed Again!

First it was scheduled for release in late 2007, then it was delayed to Spring 2008. Now PlayStation Home has been pushed back even further, with Sony Computer Entertainment today announcing that the service's closed beta would be extended, with the open beta now not expected to begin until Fall 2008.

Home--Sony's Second Life-like online service for the PlayStation 3--was first unveiled in March 2007, they have been working on Home since early 2005 so it's been a long road. In a statement, Sony Computer Entertainment president and group CEO Kaz Hirai said the company needed more time to complete Home. "We understand that we are asking PS3 and prospective PS3 users to wait a bit longer, but we have come to the conclusion that we need more time to refine the service to ensure a more focused gaming entertainment experience than what it is today," he said. "Our overarching objective is to provide users with new gaming experiences that are available only on PlayStation Home. Spending more time on the development and on the closed beta testing reaffirms our commitment to bringing a quality service, maintaining the PlayStation tradition."

According to the press statement, an open beta for Home will begin in Fall 2008, while the closed beta would be expanded with more participants throughout Summer 2008. There was no tentative date scheduled for a full release. Home was the reason apart from MGS4 and RES5 and RACTOD that I wanted a PS3, I really do hope it hurrys up and comes out already.

Metal Gear Online Beta Test and Rock Band Union Video

Well the beta test is finnaly here, we have waited for along time and at last we can finnaly play it, but the question is why would sombody ait that long? In order to play it first you must download it from the NEW PSN store which is very good, it shows you what you have downloaded before and it allows you to redownload stuff that you have downloaded before. Thats great because Incase any of mine get corrupted, the layout of the new store is great but I still can't find the Demo's section. I'm sure I'll find it soon but oiverall great update, anyway back on story. Well you download it from the PSN store an then you must wait for about an hour, I was prepared to wait, then you install it onto the system and ythats about 20 minites. I waited, and then here is where it falls apart. You load it up and then it sais you must perform an update, you know how long this update is? 7+ hours, I am not preapred to sit 7+ hours just to play a beta test even if it is Metal Gear Solid. I will just have to wait for the real game, I just hope the real game dosn't take this long either. As I didn't play the beta test I went ahead and created the Rock Band Union video early, please posts comments and enjoy!

Video Blog Plans

Well you may have seen it already but my first Video Blog is up and running, it is not the best video blog as it was unplanned and I did it in my first take so it was kinda crummy. But I now have a brilliant plan that only sombody of my intelligence could have come up with! I will from here on in do a video blog once a week, it will be on a Sunday so i can tell you what I've been doing during the whole week including the weekend. This will give me the chance to show you what I've been playing and any new games bough or order or stuff like that. I haven't really got a name for those yet but they'll be weekly Sunday video blogs so be sure to look out for that. I will also occasionally do special blogs, these can be done on any day and about anything, for example I could do a video blog all about the Metal Gear Solid Timeline, my top 10 PS1 games, a video review or just some random ranting. Those should be good to and I already am planning one that may be done by next weekish, so be sure to look out for then. With all this video blog stuff I will have to limit my union video creations so after this Rock band union video I shall be not making any union vids untill I am prepared, but other than that its good.

Well Seya Real Soon!
