Its all self-control, most people have it. A small percentage don't - Violence is a part of pretty much every culture, we just try to hide it so its not just video games- that's just an easy target to accuse, look at movies for instance - they are much more violent.

@enartloc @FriendBear I just remember at the time, Warriors and Monks had a monopoly on A3/A4 Inferno because of easy to get resists and defense. Especially Warriors who were so overpowered compared to the other classes, at least pre-atk speed nerf demon hunters.

I wonder if they balanced the game so non-warriors/monks could actually survive inferno mode =P No auction house will actually make the game kinder suck in someways since that was one of the few ways to actually get loot to power up your character so you could actually survive. They should have at least kept in the regular gold based AH, without that, people will have to spam forums etc for potential trades etc

The 3DS would have been a much better handheld if it didn't have stupid region lockouts.

Stupid debate is stupid, I personally have my PS3 connected all the time so any system requiring 24/7 connection doesn't really effect me that much ~ accept when comcast is down...which is fairly often =P But seriously, this idea is just more DRM that'll hurt the legitimate consumers - it'll not take too long for hackers/modders to create a system to bypass it anyway. So start paying attention Microsoft, look at the backlash Sony received with the 'used' game issue, consider your options carefully here.

Here's the thing, it is obvious DRM here - it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. However, that being said - if the game didn't have any DRM and an offline mode, do you think they would have still sold 1.1 Million Copies of the game? The short answer here, is actually yes ~ they probably would have still sold a significant amount.

DRM has always been proven that it doesn't stop piracy, it only harms the legitimate consumers and isn't even remotely a deterrent for hackers, if anything history has proven that the more difficulty DRM method - the more likely it'll be cracked. Look at starforce, once thought to be the ultimate DRM..it got cracked.

Case and point here, if you (the developer) make great games - then you'll make money. Make poor, DRM ridden games and you're asking for trouble.

I don't know if its the designers, or the bosses 'telling' them to create questionable content. Look at Guild Wars 2 and Diablo III, all the gaffs both games have made. The problem is these days, gaming in general is about one thing - Money. I hope the gaming industry collapses and the developers that are left start to look at what actually created the industry in the first place, normal people creating actually decent games and actually caring about the game instead of how much income it'll generate - This is one of the main reasons why I support more and more Indie developers these days than mainstream.
