But once I grew up, I began to understand things that a teen forever looking for esacpe into their bedrooms doesn't. And that is PC = Work and aall to wall TV with a kick ass suround, a couch and all the luxuries surounding you - ARE THE ONLY WAY TO FLY !!!

So for the first time, I tried the 360 backwards compatibility with the following titles Doom3, Black and Halo 2.   These games are considered umongst the pinnacle of gfx on the original Xbox. 

I started on the original xbox with Black....the game was still good looking, many jaggies evident after being on the 360 for a year - and low rez textures, but cerainly not anything you couldn't play today.   

Next I proceeded with the 360......Black - the xbox emulation began updating itself via live.  The game started up - after the long game cg intro the game engine fired up......I was left speechless, the 720p and AA rendering have given this game the extreme makover that MJ would be proud off.  Sure the textures are still low rent - but the high rez and filtering do indeed make a huge difference.

Doom3 and Halo received the same spectacular treatment. 

All the these games are officially superior on the 360 than the original xbox.  Sony going the software emulation path perhaps it's not such a bad move afterall.
