Hey guys add me; PSN: Solidfung

I'm a Lieutenant right now and I'm a okay overall player. It has been so annoying that I have to do all the work (capturing towers, getting wood and metal, feeding cake, get the princess) when i join a random match. Most ppl just pick up a hat and kill as many enemies as possible.

I would get a BC PS3. You have less cables (you don't have to plug in 2 systems, no cables on the controller), you don't have all those Memcard Problems (Mem Cards are on the hard disk and that way you can easier backup them), there are actually tons of reasons why you better take a BC Ps3 :S (don't know if the PS3 can upscale PS2 Games or if it supports online play with it easely (hated this whole installing on a Mem Card to go online)ArchoNils2

Yes PS3 can upscale PS2 games and don't forget with a BC PS3, you use the wireless controller to play everything instead of PS2's wired controller.

To everyone complaining about BC, since you have a PS2/PSone...you guys just should've bought a 20GB or 60GB console. It was about 600 when it came out. If you truly loved PS2 and PSone games you should have gotten one of those. Sony got rid of BC because anyone who wanted to play PS2 and Psone games on their PS3 allready would have purchased a 60 or 20GB.

Me personally, I have a 60GB and I do still play a few PS2 games. Like Black, Jak III. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, MGS2 SOL, thats about it though.

but even if i bought a new PS3. I would still have the chance to play them on my PS2 i bought in 2001.

HAVE FUN GAMING!

realSHOTKILL

Not everyone have 600USD to spend on gaming, at lease the majority don't.

Only gamers would buy console in its 1st year, most ppl (kids and alike) are waiting for the price to drop under $300.

By then no PS3 will support BC and most likely their PS2 won't work very gd and so they're screwed.

No BC, no one complains, Sony very happy, ppl are screwed.

I have a 60gb but I just think Sony is very stupid to cut BC; look at this example.

Whoever in the family: Hey, the PS2 isn't working anymore; let's buy a PS3 to replace it.

Imagine how much PS2s there are in the world and how much more PS3s can be sold. Stupid, stupid move.

I think YOU should stop complaining about ppl complaining about BC.

No I DON'T wanna buy another PS2 for PS2 games when I have a freaking PS3.

I want UPSCALE, I want WIRELESS CONTROLLER, and I don't want any more memory cards.

If there are only a select few who care about BC, then why there r so much complains?? Why are you trying to shut us off?

I never EVER play ps2 games......not on the ps3 or ps2.....but if i did, i would play them on the ps2.....i tried playing gt4 on ps3, i will never play a ps2 game on a ps3 again......they have ps2s for a reason.....and thats obviously to play ps2 games on your ps2, makes no sense to play it on your ps3......this post is getting nowhere, Ill just shut upTHE_BRUTALIZER

I play PS2 games on my PS3 because.... my PS3 COULD play them? How much more sense do you need, really?

Okay, I'll give you some sense:

  1. I don't wanna hook up the PS2 (why would I?)
  2. My PS2 is getting old (it's dying, I could feel it)
  3. No more stupid memory cards (only 8MB for a slot on hard drive is also stupid)
  4. Upscaled graphics
  5. Wireless controller

#1&2 may just be me but #3-5 are for everyone. Overall, it's just easier.

So, does it make more sense to you now?

[QUOTE="Unknown_Hero3"]lol so because you don't play em, means other people don't and it not important to them???burock76

No that's not what I'm saying. There are great games out for PS3 at the moment and the list will get better as you know. So I don't think PS2 games will ever be discussed after games like LBP, COD WaW, GOWIII are out, so why get so hooked up to bacwards compatibility?

Why do you mind so much about the term "Backward Compatibility"?

PS3 games, PS2 games; they are all games. I stilll play SNES games on my PSP; I mean, why not?

Why play ONLY PS3 games when you can play both?

A true gamer love any kind of games as long as it's fun.

Persona 3, GOW 2, Odin Sphere, Okami; just to name a few late PS2 games; you should really try them out if you're a gamer.
