I'm planning on getting an HDTV. After all these years I'm still gaming on my old 19" tube TV in my room :?
I've decided that a TV 26"-32" is ideal for my room, and I'm trying to stay near the $300 range (give or take) as I'm on a fairly tight budget. Is there a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p on a screen this size? I'm okay with spending a little extra to get 1080p but I'm not going to spend anything I don't have to.
Thanks ;)

I notice no difference to be honest.
You probably don't notice a difference because you never saw a 1080p native game, 99% of console games are natively in 720p.
Try switching a PC game from 720p to 1080p you'll see a huge difference.
Just like the wiimote and nunchuck failed... Oh wait
Microsoft has enough money to do a lot of marketing to hype this and bring it to the casual crowd. They can get a 360 for less than a Wii and its easier to use, you don't even need to learn the buttons. I wouldn't be too surprised if Microsoft could become really succesful with this.
Only difference is Wii Remot and Nunchuck was standard this is an optional Add-on and Add-ons usually fail because they are not forced to use them in every game.
If they make a relatively cheap Natal bundle and release tons of casual games they could succeed with it... Nevertheless i'm sceptical too.
I think all that stuff is in the game, all that DLC is just there for all the lazy people who dont want to unlock the stuff by playing the game.

Tales of Vesperia is a good example for that, the game just was released in my region and there are tons of downloadable Health packs, level boosts etc. Its just for lazy people who don't want to play the game normally, but at least its all stuff thats already in the game and nobody has to download it.
When the Wireless Network Adapters, or the HDDs for that matter, drop in price, then I'll consider the possibility of this prediction coming true.SuperNecro
60 GB HDDs are standard in 360s now, aren't they? Thats more than enough for most people. And maybe your right about the wireless network adapters, i don't know... Anyway its not that difficult or annoying to just plug your network cables into your router, i really don't need that feature.

okay i already posts this in the ps3 thread a week ago but i'm still pissed about it so i will post it here too.
Okay the day TIger Woods 10 game came out they put up a TON of downloadable content on the PSN. If all of that stuff was avialable at the time of the release then why isn't it in the game? I thought the point of DLC was to release content made after the game came out. I mean theres got to be at least $100 of downloadable content of the PSN for this game. It really pisses me off:x

Yeah i hate when they do that! Just don't download it. greedy bastards. They could fit all that stuff easily on a bluray...
