Out of all the MMO's on the market I was really excited about this one, even my co-worker who's a closet gamer wanted to get this one but, I like many others can't see paying 15 dollars a month on one game no matter how good.

Well, you don t have to pay 15 every month of your goddamn life lol. If you get bored just let your subscription freeze and later on when U want to play again you reactivate it. It's not something what gets stuck on you or something. And remember that MMO's get loads of patches, content updates regularly wich justify the price or else you still would be shoving cash to get that stuff in DLC form. And how do you think they keep the servers up and running, for free? Lol. All that stuff costs loads of money. It isn't a **** console p2p environment.

Again, if you like the game you pay for it, if you don't like it move on...

It's not worth the upgrade. Why would you go for a last gen card when 6850's are cheaper? Another alternative would be a GTX 460.

I do not know what kind of advantage the 6850 offers above the 5850. Read somewhere it offers better tesselation without suffering in performance but besides that it's almost the same specs and 500 less stream processors for the 6850. Wich is a big chunk of raw power loss imo.

I live in Holland. A known retailer here has a 5850 MSI Twin Frozr for 177 euro's. If I can sell the GTX260 for 60 buck it would be an 110 euro upgrade.

So this guy knows how to overclock the cpu to 4.2 GHZ but doesn't have any idea how to check temps? Strange **** over here lol

Wow, I get an BsoD at 4GHZ with my 955BE. 4.2ghz with a voltage below 1.45 is impossible imo.

Im having this GTX260 for almost a year now. Always had Ati cards before but now planning to switch back. Games I mostly play are TF2, Bad Company 2 ( sloppy performance here). Would most likely upgrade it to play Bad Company 2 smooth.

I know its mainly a cpu heavy game but having a bit the sense it s holding the cpu back wich is an AMD quad @ 4 ghz. Also have the idea ATi cards have slightly better AA and image quality over their nVidia counterparts, atleast that kinda impression I get.

So about this upgrade, worth it?

Huh? Your response Van doesn't really show anything to rebuttal Rays statement... Regardless, Ancient statements were just bait to flame against Pc gamers... I wonder if he has noticed the 20 page thread that is been going on for like a week stating pc gaming is dead or if he's actually looked back at many of these type of threads.. Here is the thing here.. The few times someone states something like "Ps3 is dying" or "360 is dying" those type of threads are lolfest which immediately get locked.. When it comes to the pc Platform which is doing just fine, folks are allowed to make such outlandish claims.. Its a weird conception on System Wars and a bit off.

How about I make a thread that says 360 gaming is dying. Microsoft is shifting to the Pc platform.. All games have gone multiplatform.. 360 isn't getting any exclusives.. No one wants to deal with a platform that breaks all the time. 360 can't do fighting games well because the web base digital pad sucks. 360 only gets milked franchises like forza, gears, halo. etc etc etc. See how ignorant and arrogant that sounds? Yet when flipped, this is something acceptable when talked about Pc platform here.

Dude...NOTHING in SW gets flamed like consoles...EVERY console...PCgamers coming in every thread screaming m/k,TRUE HD,free online play,free maps,ect..100x more powerful then consoles ect ect..Its old..SURE people will argue those facts and yes they are wrong..PC IS more powerful. Great. BUT that DOES NOT MAKE IT BETTER...A multi tool "knife,screwdriver,plyers," is a great lil tool..BUT it will never stand up to the standards of real needs in the work place. Sure its handy to do everything...but its not the best for the job.

Same thing for PC..Sure its good at EVERYTHING...but not the best. Thats my story and im sticking to it.
