with the hardware available in the PC these days, why wouldnt it be? I mean, it would be utter idiocy if it didnt right?

thanks for telling me that later hardware runs games better than older hardware,

Yes but it's also good they won't be compromizing the UI to to make a fast port. Instead every platform gets it's own UI wich works the on it. It's not only the graphics wich made the original stand up.

Another grip I have with pc gaming.

I just bought a new desktop yesterday. A HP with quad processors, and an AMD 840 something and 4 gbs of DDR3 and intergrated graphics card. I bet I can't play jack on it. Downloading Crysis for a test. Best I can't even run it. That is were PC gaming is a joke, This is a $650 dollar setup. And yet probably can't play s......

You buy a overpriced pre assembled PC from a **** manufacturer like HP and than are coming here to complain is performs like ****?

I you gave me the 600 buck I would have build you a so much better PC lol. Hell you can even buy the parts and let someone else assemble it. Will only cost you about 50$ more but will save the hassle.

You are a noob :D

Announced last August - just days before the start of the GamesCom 2010 - STALKER 2 has been relatively silent. Developer GSC Game World are out of their silence, however, to move some information through a series of questions and answers posted on Facebook dedicated to first person view action game set in 2012 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Stalker games have always relied on survival element and Stalker 2 just stays true to the formula, the developers have confirmed that it will indeed utilize those elements well.

If you are a PC gamer and are worried that the console version will hurt the potential of the PC version then no need to feel that way. The developers said that the PC version will be the best one. Both the PC and the console version will feature the same assets but you would be able to do a lot more with the PC version as you have come to expect from the Stalker series and its will support Direct X 11. We all know the DX10 enhanced lighting was tremendous in the previous Stalker game, resulting in terrific looking skyboxes, we cant wait to see how it will look with DX11.

The UI will not be changed for the PC version and it will indeed feature a seperate UI that utilizes the strengths of the PC platform. Console versions might get a different UI.

They say,

"Since we develop primarily on PC, you won't see any compromises in the PC version. The key difference between the PC and console versions will be the beauty of graphics" (meaning PC will offer more of visual effects).

Hopefully they will look at a few graphics mods that don't take up much ram and optimize Stalker 2 well.

Stalker fans will be happy to know that the game runs on a NEW ENGINE. We cant wait to know more about this and the improvements it contains and hopefully its not a buggy mess. We also know the AI was tremendous with animals fighting for food and all that, with the new engine there are a lot of possibilities now and developers did confirm that there will be new mutants in the game.

We are excited to know what the story will be this time, the developers confirm it will have a new set of characters and will be set in the triangle of CNPP, the cities of Chernobyl and Chernobyl 2 (where the huge antenna is located). More X-labs and underground complexes will await you in Stalker 2. They also refused to give details on the story at this point, which is expected.

[QUOTE="Sandvichman"]Had better tuxtures, but only if you paid some serious attention to it, needless to say, the only way i could enjoy said textures alot is if i stopped to stare at them. There was just not such a big difference, unless you tried to find them. It might have slightly better textures, but its the last thing on my mind when im trying to not get shot by a helicopter. Its better then the console versions, but it has never been a night and day difference, and never will, it would be suicide.psn8214

Better graphics, better control options, higher player limit, server browser, etc. etc. I'm sorry the console version isn't as good, you seem to be a big Battlefield fan, and it must suck knowing you're not getting the best possible experience. Oh, and graphically PC Bad Company >>> Console Bad Company. It is a night and day difference when the game is running at 60 FPS with 16X AA/AF, HBAO, smooth shadows (gotta love those hideous jagged console shadows huh?) and V-sync (since the console versions tear like a *****). I expect the difference between the PCs and consoles will further widen with BF2. That's really going to suck for you. :P

Awesome .gif. Twin Peaks = the best.

Couldn't be more right.

Don't those huge TV's wich console gamers buy cost hundreds ifnot thousands of dollars? How can they simply say PC gaming is to expensive lol when they have to get a whole cinema set to be able to play their games.

I don't have a TV at home so just asking..

pc gaming is for nerds

meatgrinderz

Dunno what is more nerdy, having a dedicated gaming machine in the middle of your livingroom linked up to the TV or gaming on a desktop wich u can use for all sorts of things and is a common thing in householding.

:D
