I think that this will make it's way on consoles.GeneralShowzer

No, because sniping with a moving crosshair from 2 miles on a miniscule bodypart is impossible with a controller. This isn't your typical CoD awesome l33tz skill gameplay. You actually die alot and the maps are mostly designed for 64vs64. This is a small developer, no way they have enough money to put up servers.

Have you actually seen any gameplay footage? The tactical interface alone would make a consolite his brain melt.

in 10 years nobody will remember the Original Mass effect anymore, but on PC you'll see it for sale on Steam Classics for maybe a bucks and will have a chance to play it again on the same machine wich than runs current gen games. That's just epic.

That is the strongest part of pc. Forget about graphics and all that. If you go on steam the most played game for today is counter strike, a 1999 game. Pc have an enormous library of games.

They even released a Sega Megadrive pack with a **** ton of games. You can literally timetravel with a PC.

The Sniper scope alone in RO2 is 10 generations in front of any other game.

[QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"] Actually no its easier setting up 4 tv's and 16 controllers then it is setting up 16 laptops or PC's. But hey if you find it easier then thats you.Sp4rtan_3

LOL! Yeah sure! you do know I've owned all curreng gen consoles. It's not like you cna make stuff up and I'll buy it.

Networking 16 laptops together takes 2 clicks (for N wireless gaming) or hooking up a CAt5e cable to them for wired gaming. Maybe typing in a password if the network needs to be secured for some reason (wireless only).

Setting up a network connection on the consoles requires navigation of numerous menus with a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. And good luck tryign to trouble shoot anything.

Thats fine and dandy that you can do that Im just saying from my experience Idk what your trying to prove honestly  4 tv + 4 360 is all I need when I wana lan same cant be said if a PC game is being lan (which is very very rare)

Why would you hook up 4 xboxes together and call that a lan? Most lans i know and have been to have over 100 participants, all connected on one single network. Try to do that and come back again because you have no idea what a real LAN is lol. But hey, kids gotta learn somewhere so have fun with your 4 tv's and xboxes :D

And what game u want to lan with 4 people? Halo? lol. Must be boring as hell, even when ur drunk.

Why was my message deleted lol? I only said games age much better than on consoles. Mass Effect for example. On the 360 it really is a horrible game compared to the PC version. Super bad framerate, huge loading times, screentearing. On PC it is an amazing experience and I can tell it looks same as ME2 when maxed out, solely for this reason alone I decided to sell my 360 because it wasn't offering anything above the PC.

When you start up a multiplat title on PC magic starts to happen, and even if it looks and plays **** you can force it by sheer brute power to make it good looking. Black Ops, Oblivion, Fallout are all prime examples of this, they look georgous and on top of that you can puts some mods wich make it even better and extend replay value.

in 10 years nobody will remember the Original Mass effect anymore, but on PC you'll see it for sale on Steam Classics for maybe a bucks and will have a chance to play it again on the same machine wich than runs current gen games. That's just epic.

PC can truly do anything and keeps games alive for decades by giving new age gamers a chance to look back.

Ok provide me the link that shows the info about the player count

mrmcygan

http://www.gametracker.com/search/bf2/

http://www.game-monitor.com/GameSearch/bf2/BattleField_2.html

1. You did not show the MAG player count, so a comparision can not be made

2. At the gametracker.com website, once you get to page 14, most of the servers have no players except for a few that have 5-10 players

3. At the game-monitor website, once you get to page 5 most of the servers only have around 13-18 people in it, once you get to page 12 they only have servers with 0 to 1 people in them.

Why don't you get BF2 and see it for yourself? It costs only 10$ with all the expansion. And you can download awesome free mods for it like AIX ( new airplanes like Blackbird) or Promod.

2011 Battle of the 3

-Killzone 3

-Modern Warfare 3

-Battlefield 3

-Uncharted 3

-Gears of War 3

-Resistance 3

SAGE_OF_FIRE

I'll get Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3. Also Deus Ex Human Revolution (3), Bioshock Infinite (3), several games I'm forgetting about.

There are people who solely played Battlefield for years and know the ins and outs of the game and are expecting the same experience from the next game. They simply don't care about how much games they will get but the only thing they want is a worthy replacer for Battlefield 2. It's typical console gamers match up games against eachother while it doesn''t have any revelance.

You seem to be the normal casual gamer who jumps from game to game to get the 'quick fix' while in Battlefield 2 you had to actually put effort, make clans, make up tactics to win. All those shooters in your list give instant gratification to the playes ( except for maybe BF3) and deliver fast paced action for short lapses of time where almost no skill is involved.

BF veterans are simpely not waiting for a shallow experience.

oh can't wait! I hope its more technologicaly advanced than anything else like BF2 was at its release :)

mrmcygan

As much as I would like to see that happen it won't. My feeling says it will be a shoddy console port with a little bit of extra's like server browser to justify Dice's saying that they will put more effort into the PC version.

The only real Battlefield is a PC exclusive Battlefield. Console can't handle gigantic maps with 64 players. Yes I already hear MAG upcoming but that game is to basic compared to Battlefield 2 and doesn't give anywhere near as much as options and dynamic battles.

As a proud owner of MAG, your statement that MAG is basic is utter BS.

256 people say Hi

More people play Battlefield 2 at any given time of day than Mag.

Quality over Quantity says hi.
