Hello everyone! Long time no blog O_O I decided to dwell into game programming. To you guys it might not look like much, but to me its the beginning of a new career! Some of you might not know this, but i have worked several times for big and small game companies, working behind the scenes, seeing how a game is made. I'm not going to name those companies though so don't ask :P I'm just gonna say that you can find my name in several blockbuster hits ^_^ and in several not so blockbuster hits...I thought long and hard about changing careers and finally decided to roll with it. Anyway, the past few months I been self-studying game programming, starting with level design. Soon my quarter will start and I will jump straight into actual coding. I'll use this blog to show you guys my process and hopefully provide tips on what to learn for any game programmer enthusiasts out there. For now, I'm learning the UDK (unreal tournament) engine. There are a lot of tutorial videos, guides, any resource you can think off for this engine so if you're looking for a place to start, then that would be your first step ;) Of course, self motivation helps too. Lastly, I decided to hang my mod badges yesterday as I don't have the time to help as much as I want too. Every time I come to gamespot it was distracting to see the queue and I felt bad for not having the time to help :( But since career comes first, I hanged them up to remove that distraction. I will however, continue to focus on How to Gamespot and will post from time to time :) That's all folks, stay frosty! G
