Rumor is that GTA6 base game will break the $70 barrier.

I believe we will see the first $100 game in gaming history with GTA6. GTA Online will be included for "free" because high player engagement is necessary to sell Shark Cards and credits.

No one respects a henpecked mens (that phrase likely precedes us all). It's an old concept and simply put, a mens who allows his womens to dominate him is an object of derision or condescending sympathy. Getting interrupted, talked over, talked down to, rudely corrected, or having questions answered by someone the question is not addressed to is exceedingly rude and especially so when it's from your life partner.

I am looking to start a small bidness with a friend. Went to have dinner and drinks with him and his girlfriend. She spent the dinner talking out of turn, interrupting him, correcting him, and talking down to him. I told my girlfriend after that I cannot trust him as a bidness partner because he is a simp, and I am certain that he would let her have a say and some sway over his bidness decisions and I won’t risk my livelihood on her arbitrary whims and his inability to control his relationship. Even my girlfriend noted how submissive he is and stated that she wears the pants in that relationship.

This gots me to thinking. I’ve been out so many times observing womens with their mens who are wearing skimpy clothes, make eye contact with other mens for free validation and attention, and some even outright flirt with other mens in the presence of their mens. Furthermore, womens who talk down to, interrupt, or correct their mens in front of others have absolutely no respect for their mens. And why should they, if their mens is a weak simp, they don’t deserve respect from anyone least of all from their womens.

So please keep in mind that one of the many ways to assess a mens competence is to observe the dress and behavior of his womens.

Let’s surmise for a moment that the Last of Us Part 3 miraculously cost $100 million to develop instead of $300 million. Is anyone here naïve enough to believe that the $200 million delta will be passed along to customers or developers?

There is not one publisher on this planet that would say “hey, we saved a ton of money, let’s be decent and regress to the $60 standard price point or charge less for DLC or give raises and bonuses to the worker bees who made these games.” Here’s what would happen: those cost savings will be paid out to executives as performance bonuses (rewards for reaching sales metrics, getting a high Metacritic score, or meeting metrics around saving G&A). Or those savings would be passed along to shareholders as dividends to incentivize holds instead of sell offs. Or they would do stock buybacks.

Furthermore, lower budgets do not guarantee greenlights and funding for new innovative games or stemming the tide of headcount reductions or launching buggy incomplete games.

Not claiming that development budgets should not be lower but please do not fool yourselves into believing that gamers or developers would see or benefit from a penny of those cost savings.

Unfortunately you have been tragically misinformed. I have a doctorate in English and I know for a fact that the plural for mens and womens is mens and womens. Just like the plural for radius is radii, it's the same conjugation.

Making game hardware ain’t fun. It’s high cost, low margin, very competitive and a company must provide expensive post sale warranty service at least a year after the initial sale.

Microsoft knows that it will NEVER outsell Sony and Nintendo in hardware and software sales. This would be fine if Xbox could be like Apple or Porsche where they could sell lower volume luxury items at much higher margins. But they cannot, they must price their products similar to what Sony and Nintendo charges to be competitive.

It would be much more profitable and lower cost for them to drop hardware and sell a GamePass cloud dual license: one to OEMs like Sony, Nintendo, Samsung, LG, TCL, Hisense, etc. and subscriptions to customers. They can still make hardware but they would be cheap like a game streaming stick and controllers. Recurring revenue is always better than one time point of sale revenue (i.e., Office 365 is much more lucrative than selling one Office license).

I predicted this a few years ago, got laughed at but this seems more and more likely. Also before the dummies start yelling that Sony and Nintendo would never allow GamePass on their platforms: gamers would send death threats and attempt physical activity for the first time in years to climb stairs to burn down their headquarters if they could not play Call of Duty, Diablo, Elder Scrolls, DOOM, Fallout, or maybe even GTA (don’t laugh, T2 is a ripe acquisition target and Microsoft can afford to buy them while Sony cannot).

Microsoft knows it will perpetually be stuck at third, dropping hardware and going to the cloud or licensing their games for other platforms makes the most sense.

Excellence should be rewarded, incompetence must be punished. Not giving developers money for mediocrity tells them they need to do better. It is purely transactional.

I am a pure mercenary when it pertains to anything I buy. I will give my money only when provided a quality product, it is purely transactional. I feel no loyalty or need to support anyone if they do not make a quality product or service that benefits me. Whether their business fails or succeeds is not my problem.

The developers don't care about me so I don't care about them. One way loyalty is only for fools and simps.
