Get out of your GameSpot house. Xbox 360 had more games. More critically acclaimed games. It sells more than PlayStation 3. All systems have a GOTY. Everybody, in your opinion, has been owned.

But Sony has been owned the most.

Microsoft, sure, they're very rich and things are going well for them, they didn't expect Xbox 360 to kill all systems, but Sony must be very pissed considering how it went for the PS2 and how they thought PS3 would perform. Poor Sony.

Although I agree PS3 has had a great year!

Besides that, most of these people mentioned are from the "modern era" of System Wars, the true history from the early days is rarely mentioned, and few posters remain from that era.

I Disagree. Yo_Foo and Gingerdivid were people that had meaningful points in their posts albeit delivered in a unique, entertaining and funny way. SW is boring now compared to when they were here.

Fact: PS3 blew away the competition this year. No one ever stood a chance against the PS1 and PS2 library and things aren't going to be much different with the PS3. Only fans try to deny that but it doesn't matter. PS3 has had a mighty awesome year and by the looks of it, will go into 2009 as the clear favourite.metalgear-solid

Actually, if you haven't noticed, things gave changed.

The PlayStation 2 had everything.

It crushed everything in its path in sales. 140M and still selling.

It crushed everything in its path in games. More critically acclaimed games than all other systems any year. Only Xbox came close, but still got trumped.

PS2 had sales and games and popularity. Everybody loved it. Wii has only sales. That's what made PS2 so good and Wii not so good.

However, now, Xbox 360 has more critically acclaimed games than PS3.

PS2 had 100% domination. Neither Wii, PS3 nor Xbox 360 has that now.

Wii has tremendous sales, popularity.

Xbox 360 has a very good library and good sales.

PS3 has very good exclusive games and a good future.

PS2 had all.

So, my friend, PS2 =/= PS3.

Yes. I've also heard that Halo 3 outsold that game and that PS3 software sales are terrible and that Xbox 360 outsells PlayStation 3.
