Personally I LOVE starting out like this loser, a poor rookie who doesn't have any experience, skills, weapons, etc etc.
For instance, Half-life 1 & 2 did that great, letting your start with NO suit nor any weapons. I liked Fable a lot, cause you start out like a kid, where you grow and learn skills, etc.
I hate when games start out in the middle of a fight, giving you a big rifle you'll be using the whole game, (Resistance, for instance. I liked the game, but I didn't like the fact that you were giving a weapons you would be using the entire game because its that awesome. You could have started out with a pistol, or something like that. That's why I'm really looking foward to R2 ;))
What are your thoughts about this?
When the game is very dark, (Condemned 2, SW:TFU cinematic of Darth Vader), the "dark /black" on the screen kinda turns gray and looks awful. Also, if the screen is, for instance, black, and a logo pops onto the screen, the outline kinda stays, and I can still see the logo, being very gray.
The only thing that can make the grayness disappear is by lowering the brightness on the TV, but that makes the game, of course, darker to play, and I would prefer it to be a little brigther.
I'm having a 32" Philips, and it works perfectly.
Also, I'm using HDMI, and I've been trying to do something about by changing some settings, (Super-white, some "Full or limited color thing")
Anyone experiencing the same thing? And what should I do, is there any solution, or should I just keep the TV at a low brightness?
