I recently started working for a board game dev, and we just shipped our first kickstarter game called Hoplomachus: The Lost Cities.  It's a hex based gladiator game played with stacks of pokerchips.  I've always wanted a board game similar to FF Tactics, Tactics Ogre...etc So aside from Hoplo, are there many games out there that do similar things?  (without lots of minis or DIY elements).  Someone has mentioned heroscape to me before but I don't like the goofy mis-matched characters.

-Cheers!

Pick any mode, endless for example just to see the score max out.  All you have to do is drop blocks in the lowest section of the board at all times.  DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ANYTHING ELSE.  Do it as fast as you can (stylus recommended).  I played for 30 mins this way and stopped because i got bored.  You rack up some insane combos.

Finally a game more broken than bejeweled and meteos.

Interesting question. I've got the VGA cables, but only have my xbox hooked up to the monitor. My guess is that since the monitor has two inputs, it also has a selector option hidden in the menu system (the buttons on your monitor.) You'll likely have to switch back and forth with these.

I thought all of those games would work on the psp from the beginning? That's why they're called "ps3/psp" games? Is it being able to play PSN games through remote play?

Not a fan of how nearly all the information on the 3.9 update has to do with skype. All I can find is skype this, skype that, and then "expanded compatibility for psn titles"....whatever that's supposed to mean. And what about Divx support? The PS3 has it, why not the PSP? There is a "copy" option on the ps3 for video files, but.....my psp won't play them...so.....where am I supposed to copy them to?

Basically....what does the update do besides skype?

-Cheers.

I thought there was a button combination that cleared a game's save data...can't remember what it is though. I bought a copy of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance used, and it's got two save files filled up. I could make a new one, but the other one would still be there, and that...bugs me. Is there a universal "clear memory" button combination I could be putting in as the game boots up?

-Cheers

Owned 2 gamecube's previously....I knew I shouldn't have traded them in. I wanted to pick up a black gamecube before they're gone forever, found a guy selling one locally, picked it up for $20, it's in good shape...a few scratches...nothing major, works fine, but upon close inspection, I see three threaded holes in the bottom of the console. I don't remember this on my other cubes. Are there screws missing? Or are these holes for the super gameboy attachment to screw into? (I'm not talking about the four deep screws that hold the housing together. These are gold metal threads showing, looks like it was taken apart before..or something. If someone could take a look at their cube, and let me know if they've got the same thing going on, I"d appreciate it.

-Cheers.

Had a PSP since launch. Could always just pull off the analog nub. Thought of buying the kit of different nubs but never got it. Eventually sold that PSP. Recently bought another original PSP (few days ago), and the analog nub simply won't come off. Now, I haven't YANKED on it yet, but I don't want it to snap off if sony has made the stick, and the nub one piece in recent models. Or maybe they've just made it harder to take off....used glue...something. Can someone with a newer "original" psp fill me in on this? I'd like to replace the nub with one that's concave. I just hope I haven't damaged anything pulling on it as much as I have already. Like a friggin loose tooth.

-Cheers.

Ok, I've got a 10down, 2up connection.

I've tested it wireless on my laptop=10down, 2up

I've tested it on my wired xbox 360=10down, 2up

I've tested it on my USB adapted PC=4down, 1up (USB network cards are half the speed, this is a normal reading)

Then I test it wired on the ps3=1.3down, 600up. (one 10th the speed!)

Wireless on the PS3=1.3down, 600up.

This is run through the router, and directly to the modem itself.

I've read countless other posts with people having the same problem. When sony is contacted, they always seem to suggest that something is wrong with the customer's setup. My question is:

How could it be my network setup when I plug the laptop into the modem, and I get 10megs down, and then plug into the ps3, and get 1????.....I'm going to the SAME website to test hte speed (speakeasy), to the same speakeasy server.

So, I've ruled everything out except the PS3 hardware. It's either a faulty setting, or a faulty network card. Has anyone else come across this problem, and fixed it?

I honestly think that sony knows something is wrong, they just don't want to have a recall because they'd basically lose what little progress they've made with the ps3.
