Ok, here's the situation. I've got a 360 (my second, by the way). I'm selling it to a friend. I'm going to use my roommates 360 in the meantime. I'll eventually pick up another 360 when they fix the cooling problem. So, the only downside of this plan is, as you all know, there are LOTS of games coming out this holiday season.
I don't want to play them on my buddies 360, only to be screwed when I get my NEW 360, and have all my gamesaves on his 360. So. And I'm not exactly sure how it'll all work.......But can I just buy a memory unit and somehow.....import my gamertag, and save all my games that I play on HIS 360 to my memory unit........and then when it comes time and I have MY new 360, just toss them on the new harddrive?
I know the 360 has a lot of weird walls, and tricks, and "no, you can't do that without doing this", and "you've got to be online with this and this gamertag activated" weird little rules....So if anyone could shed some light on this situation, It'd be a tremendous help.
So basically, I want to have my gamertag and gavesaves on my buddies 360 for a while, and then move them to a new 360 without having any problems (ie, once I save on my buddies 360, I can't move the save files....etc)
I don't want to get halfway through Mass Effect and then find out I can't move my progress perminantly to my new hard drive.
Thanks for any replies.
-Cheers
