[QUOTE="Velocitas8"][QUOTE="BLURAYwins"]$180? Too bad itll choke on a game like Crysisnasos_33333

Lawl.
Chances are it's a much better performer than the 7800GTX, which is going to be able to max out Crysis in DX9. The 8600 Ultra is DX10 card though, meaning it'll get MUCH better performance in games that take advantage of DX10, like Crysis. The central reason for the move to DX10 is speed increases, not improvements in visual quality like so many seem to think.

You must be kidding if you think this 180$ card will rival the best of DX9 cards, they would have to stop selling them altogether then, just like totally stop DX9 cards production, who would buy a 400-500$ video card, when a 180$ one runs Crysis max in DX10 ?

To run Crysis would will NEED a 300$ card

They are decreasing the price. Why did they sell the 6800 when the 6600 ran Doom 3 on max no problem? because the 6800 has better performance. This is the way it has always been what don't you understand. To run Crysis in Dx10 you need a $80 card(not saying the 8300 GS will run crysis very good) if you want better performance and higher resolutions then you will spend money on the more expensive cards.

You are really naive, aren't you ? You expect to run Crysis max in DX10 with a ...80 or 180$ card ??? And in your opinion WHO WOULD BUY the 600$ card then ? They must be real idiots to put out cards that would run Crysis max at 80$, right ?

I doubt I will ever get a PS3 but it comes with a inbuilt blu-ray player and also runs with linux. Linux allows you complete freedom to do what you like.
